The Dream Act was killed in the Senate by 5 votes. Of course they will bring it back up for 2011. Boy they sure are busy up there. Spending, passing, and deciding the business of a country they were just voted out of representing! It seems to me that alot of the people that were re elected are being a lot more cautious. Hopefully we made our point....

I doubt the Dream Act will be brought back up anytime soon, to be honest. If they didn't have a filibuster-proof super-majority this year they're certainly not going to have it next year, are they? For anyone who didn't realize this, the vote was 55 for bringing the Dream Act up for a vote and 41 against. That's a pretty healthy majority but in the Senate, it's the minority that runs the show. they needed 60. How in the world can you say that the minority is running the show? with the stuff that has been passed this year. Less than a month I would say maybe things will be better.... But I really dont believe it. I try to hold out hope - I got nuthin!

Actually, I heard that they were going to wait until 2012 before trying to reintroduce this anmesty bill again. What these young illegal immigrants need to realize is that it is not the job of the US to "fix" what their parents messed up in the first place.

speak - I agree it is NOT the governments responsibility to do this. But people seem to think it is. As well as feeding, housing, medical and the list goes on .... and on...
