I have heard many times that you can earn by writing articles. But how to do it? What to write, and who will buy this articles? Are there sites that can help with this? Does anyone have a experience with this, if so, what are you writing about, where do you post them, what length they have and how much they cost? Help me with this please, I really need some extra money. Right now I don't have a job and will not get it for two months. Thank you.

You don't always have to sell articles up front; you can be paid by how they perform, how many views they get , etc. I actually prefer to do it that way, because I get some passive income. Around dollars a month now from writing on Triond :D

Oh, so they will pay for just reading them too. But then what use it will be to them if the articles are already on the internet? I will start in Triond now. :)

Make plenty of friends right off the start, by reading others articles and commenting on them: this lets people know that you actually exist ;). Write a wide variety of pieces, and see which one you both enjoy, and earn well with; stick to that topic. Write at least 50 articles before giving up, because until then, you won't get a very accurate reading of how much you could earn. At the beginning, I only had like 5-10 articles, and was earning cents a day, but now I have 300 articles, and am earning dollars a day. I almost gave up, but I stuck with it, because I saw the earnings in the long run. Promote your work: once it is published, share the article on digg, facebook, stumbleupon etc. This is probably one of the most important things to do.... Good luck!!!

Hello, Earning money by writing articles is probably the best way to earn money online, if you know how to do it. I wouldn't suggest Triond to you, I currently only make about 0.05$ a day and I wrote 5 articles for them. You can easily sell your articles for about 075$ - 1.25$ per article. To be honest I'm a buyer of well written articles on various subjects and topics. If you are interested add me on MyLot and hit me up in a PM, I'll give you the details and if you're still keen on writing articles for me, we can start doing business. Greetings, samyboy280

Thank you , i will consider it. But 0.75 is really not much for a article, unless it's not big. How much letters contains the article that costs 0.75-1.75? Also did it take long to sold your articles? Thank you.

Hello, Yes 0.75 is a lot per article, how much do you earn by posting one discussion on MyLot? I am speaking about articles that are around 400 - 500 words long. However, you'll need to be able to write some good articles though, depending on your quality I might pay more or less (We'll first discuss that, I won't just change the rate during a batch for example). I myself have this very same question about how I can earn money online writing online, I have tried Triond and Buskia as well. You earn very little but its a great experience, and the money will add up with the more articles you write and the better they get. Another I site I use is Associated Content, they do pay very little and have few assignments, but it will add up.

if you are beginners then start with Triond, Bukisa. Ac, hubpages are good for intermediate and if you are skilled professional then search hourly job or task on odesk and freelancer. On some websites you have to bid for work. Lower rate will win the bid and he/she get that job.

Thank you for pointing them out to me. The Triond is getting recommended quite often it seems. Thank you for your detailed answer. I will stick to beginners level sites for now I think. ^_^

Lisander, Writing articles online could potentially be very lucrative. However, as in any business it will take a lot of work and effort. If you view my profile, you can see that I have referral links to a few sites. You can sign up as my referral if you wish. One thing to remember, writing on line is more about passive income. Few things that you need to follow: 1. Build up your portfolio - i.e. keep writing and add the number of articles you have online. 2. Socialize with members on the site to build up your fan base. You will have to read their articles as well to see if they have the same interest as you and be their friend. 3. Market your articles. Submit them to Digg, stumbleupon, Redgage, Facebook etc. 4. Monitor your articles, if the article are already old and do not see any readers, you might resubmit it to new sites or promote it again to gain new readership. Finally, writing articles on line is not a get rich fast scheme. There are sites that will pay out up front for your articles but you lose the residual income that may continue many years after you have written your article.

Thank you for advice. It seems there is much there for me to learn yet in this industry. That was one of the reasons for opening this discussion - so that the people who already earn by writing articles can give some advice and share their experience.

Don't write articles to someone else! The money you get from selling a good article is nothing compared to the affiliate earnings you will get from it in the long run. Just start a website, write a few articles a day and add affiliate links within the text. Affiliate links which are related to your content of course :) A review site is a pretty good guarantee for making good money long term. In my opinion selling your articles for a few bucks is just stupid.

I am afraid it's not very doable for a newbie. I am not acquainted with affiliate programs, and don't have any experience with them. This is probably for a more experienced user. All the same thank you for your advice.

Initially I was doing a few projects offered from freelancer.com and rentacoder.com. They have a good pay and you get paid for what you do. Now, due to certain family issues, I can't do committed writing, so I am finding out things on my own. Triond is good, but it is very difficult to have your articles accepted. Blogging is a great way to make some extra money. Helium and Associated content is also good.
