Just caught this article while waiting for my flight to Mauritius and if I may warn you, this is quite graphical.
We talk about how peaceful and peace loving Muslims and their religion but I have to say that I cannot picture how it can still teach and advocate honor killings into the world, even to this day. No offense, but this has to be stopped.
You may want to say something here but I really want to say that this is (honor killing) just unthinkably and grossly wrong. It should not be even considered let alone practice. I just feel sorry for the 4 year old here who was disemboweled (sorry).
How on earth can this happen? What are they (Muslims) teaching here?
Really have to get this out of my system before I start a week of holidays with my company colleagues and most of all my family.

Well, for me this is actually a mentally ill person. I feel sorry for those children who are born with mentally insane parents like these. How could a parent do something to her daughter... If this is her belief I still don't think it is still acceptable, it's not even acceptable in the eyes of GOD for sure... to kill someone He created... Common sense isn't ironic? Why would He like that? Our children are God's gift to us, and he wouldn't take that away, he already gave them.. We should nurture and love them and take care of them not do completely the opposite act, mentally ill act.

i just read the link/news.. and it doesnt mention anything about 'honor killings' in this case.. ??
so, i do not think - in this particular case - it is has anything to do with 'honor killings' - or related to 'religion'..
i would say this was just a very, very sad case of 'mentally / psychologically troubled' mother - regardless of what religion she is.
there is nothing wrong with the religion, you know - the trouble is ALWAYS - THE INTEPRETATION / IMPLEMENTATION of the teachings BY THE FOLLOWERS.. i do not believe ISLAM promote honor-killings, or any kind of violence -- that's why you dont see / hear Muslims everywhere doing this.. only some among MILLIONS..
and sadly - these wrongdoings of 'some' people - are tarnishing the image of the
muslims everywhere...

What a mother! She is a wicked $^%# with twisted mind!
I'm not familiar with ?Koran. Haven't read it my entire life but I don't think that it has something to do with the killing... or has it?
What is clear to me is the mother being insane! I don't think that a good and loving mother would do such horrible thing to her child for the sake of religious belief. What mother on earth can do that?
It is already difficult to see your child wounded and crying in pain let alone murdered her that way and by your bare hands....

I don't know what the 'koran' tells and i don't even wanna know. What that woman did was wrong whichever way you put it. Taking someone's life is plainly wrong let alone taking your child's.

The fact that this particular religion is both teaching and practicing honor killing is just very disturbing. Also, I am sure you are aware that the Muslims have another code of law irregardless of the sovereign country's.
They really have to take this out of their code for good and from all quarters. So, let's hope that this is the last of it.

I hope so too. That's way too disturbing. I'm so confused as to what their people practiced in early ages. I hope their ancestors didn't have dementia or whatever.
