Do you like Carpet or Hardwood Best?

My Husband and I enjoy hardwood floors. We have them in every room of our house. We do have some decorative area rugs in some rooms, but we like to see the wood most. We don't mind carpet, we just think wood looks better. I do think it can depend on the style of the home. Our house was built in the 1900's and we have restored it to it's original condition, so hardwood floors only make sense, but sometimes people will cover hardwood with carpet because they like carpet better. Which do you have in your home and which do you like best?

I agree, carpets are very cozy. I do like to have carpet in certain rooms, but not wall to wall. Area rugs can be soft too. Good for just hanging out on the floor to watch a movie or play with my daughter. I am sure once she starts to crawl we will have to get more throw rugs so she doesn't hurt her little knees!

Do youhave both in your home? I know a lot of people like both and have carpet in their bedrooms and wood in the rest of their house. It is interesting to see how people choose to do their floors. I know some people who do their entire home in tile, which is beautiful, but can also be kinda cold...at least here on the East Coast.

Altough carpets are nice to walk on, I find it easier without them. Its easier to sweep and I had a really bad problem with fleas from my animals and they love to get in the carpet. So we took out all the rugs.
