When my Win XP boots , i see a black screen prompting me to select from two available Windows installations on the box. Actually one of the option is part of an incomplete Win XP installation . Unfortunately for me , this is the deafult option and every time i am forced to change the selection through key board . Please let m know how i can remove this Windows selection option so that the system continue to load the correct OS without giving me a prompt screen.

it is really simple...but be careful doing this. Because one wrong movement, you will ended by re-install your computer. First, choose your complete instalation. Then, find boot.ini file in drive C:. If, there is no boot.ini, you can unhide file and folders with folder options. Once you have found, open it with notepad, and you can see there are two line about XP boot, for example: Line 1 multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\Windows="Microsoft......... Line 2 multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\Windows="Microsoft......... now you can delete one line of your incomplete installation. If your complete installation is the first line then delete the second line and vice versa.
