Resident evil is my most favorite Horror game of all time but because of those non cannon movies, The game is turned into action and its not scary anymore. I do play other horror games like Silent Hill.
I want if there is a PS3/X-box360 game(yes I have both games)with a vulnerable protagonist (not some secret agent or super cop) A protagonist who is a regular human, a protagonist who have the ability to be scared and of course the enemies are scary. Is there any new game that plays like oldschool horror games, as in Scary, intense and the protagonist is not some badass guy or Kickass Hot chick.
The protagonist should be a regular person.

It's very hard to find a game like Resident Evil. I can say Silent Hill comes close to it and no other game. Hopefully there is a game like Resident Evil that someone will tell us, if there is a game like RE.

Devil May cry fans hates the new upcoming DMC but at least they have Bayonetta to replace it. Its sad resident evil fans are stuck. i really wish some company out there willmake a game that will remind fans of all Resident evil games, Well there is game titled "snow" for wii which reminds me of all re games when it comes to athmosphere but the game is cancelled. It cant find a publisher.

Don't know much of DMC. I still need to play the last DMC that came out. True they do have Bayonetta. Seriously! I wish some company could make a game like Resident Evil. Never heard of the game Snow for the Wii.

Oh my mistake the game I am talking about is Winter, not snow..LOL those words are interchangeable. The game have some good old school survival horror vibes on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rS-AK1SwqDg sadly it cant find a publisher.

Resident evil is totally a different game. But there is one game that is surely beat resident evil when you are talking about intensity, violence, scariness and a simple protagonist character who has to be a simple human only with no special skills, then DEADESPACE is the game you should try.

main character wears a spacesuit and uses hi-tech weapons, That's too action to me. i want something that will remind me of Pre-Resident evil 4 , resident evil game.

Silent hill perhaps. Though does have good weapons but that is scary, violent, intense and has a simple protagonist character.
