In what ways can you prevent the global warming?

Can you? I think theoretically it is impossible but who knows there might be something else that I haven't thought of.

In fact scientists have already got ideas that are feasible to cool down the Earth. It is just the methods they come up are too costly... Well, costly enough that no countries are willing to pay the price. For example, one way to cool down the Earth is to trap the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store in underground or in deep water. This is feasible now as the technology for that already exists... Just it is too costly to have an impact on the global warming effect.

And who are these scientists?

Sorry, I didn't quite pursue a research in this area and is unable to give you the names of the scientists as I haven't thought that this is such a serious question that I have to give evidence on the things I am saying here. Anyway, you may find the link http://science.howstuffworks.com/environmental/green-science/carbon-capture5.htm helpful.

I don't think that there is any doubt that the average temprature of the world is rising. However, it is still lower than it was in earlier historical times like the early medieval warm period when it was warm enough for agriculture in Southern Greenland (still not possible today) or the even earlier warm period at the time of the Roman Empire when there were vinyards in Northern England. It's still not possible to grow grapes in Northern England though viticulture is flourishing in the South of England, So even with all the over - hyped warming that has been taking place, it's still not as warm as it was in these earlier warm periods when, it's worth pointing out, there were no huge outpourings of so called greenhouse gasses from industry, power plants, cars and aircraft because these things did not exist then! The logical conclusion is that these earlier warm periods were caused by by entirely natural changes in the earths climate and that the present warming period is therefore also very likely to be entirely natural in origin. That being the case, there's nothing that we can do that can affect it. We just have to adapt to it. Incidentally, the early medieval warm period was followed by a climatic reversal that is now called "The Little Ice Age." This lasted from the 14th century to the 19th and saw the destruction of the Norse Greenland settlement which perished as the increasing cold made agriculture impossible while increased pack ice made it impossible for ships to reach the settlement to bring in supplies. It also brought famine to Europe as harvests failed due to the climatic changes. Rivers froze over every winter that had never frozen before, (an annual fair called the frost fair was held on the frozen River Thames as late as the middle of the 19th century) In short, climatic change is the normal situation and the present warming trend is nothing out of the ordenary when looked at in the context of the last two thousand years of climatic history. But what politician has the breadth of vision to look at a canvas that wide? They all have their own private agendas to pursue that have nothing to do with the bigger picture of climatic change.

I don't think so. We might think that we can, but they don't even understand how the climate works let alone know how to control it.

So do you think you can do anything to stop global warming? Yeah it is normal course of the earth but I don't care about that I just want to know if humans are capable of controlling the weather.

Global warming is a global phenomenon and affects all countries in the world. One individual doing something will not have any effect. It has to be done by all people and all countries. It is virtually impossible to monitor every person on Earth since the world population is in billions.Strict enforcement of environmental laws can do some good but it is really neccessary for every individual to understand how he or she can help by following all the norms to make the Earth a better place to live in.There has to be a massive and collective effort on the part of every individual, every society and every nation to avoid the calamity that could bring the end of life on the Earth sooner or later.

hi, i think its a long long procedure, but anyways anyone could prevent global warming, by their own strategies. for me i think, i will use paper bag than plastic bag, conserve water and save energy power.

I think those are more about the concern of human resources but will not prevent global warming.

Energy Efficient Lighting............. Lighting contributes significantly to peak hours and also total consumption. So if consumption due to lighting reduces, power supply demand decrease. So generation would decrease. Which will consequently decrease the emission of Green House gases from the thermal power plants. So Global Warming can be reduced.

But that has minimal effect to the global scale of things. Compared to a single volcanic eruption, greenhouses created by man is very small.
