Would OEM auto parts have higher reliability?

I just fix up my car a week ago, and indeed I spent a lot of money on it. Now, I just hope that my car will last longer, and don't give me any more headache. I just couldn't handle it anymore financially. Here is my question though, my friend who fixed my car recommend me about OEM auto parts, it is much closer to those parts we get from the dealer in the same quality. Much better than than Auto Zone, or Advance Auto parts, or NAPA. What is your recommendation?
