Did You Join the Site where Members Kept Advising you to Upgrade?

I first joined that site (I don't want to mention the name) before coming to MyLot. I would have love to spend time on that site as a free member (even without any earnings because my goal was to get referrals instead) but there's too many restrictions from that site and the only thing I see on my dashboard are messages saying: "You should take advantage of upgrading to gold." or "The best way to earn is to go for gold" or "happy gold day" and another word which includes the name of the site. And I get those similar greetings from every member who wants to add me on their contact list. I would have loved to participate in their Q&A site to share what I know as well just like what I'm doing here at MyLot but it's reserved only for upgraded members which I find it strange because you're unable to post even a question about how to earn from the Q&A site. How can they expect free members to upgrade when the free members can't see why they're upgrading? So, is there anyone here who are upgraded members of that site? Do you have anything to share with us?

I am a free member of that site, and I had the same experience. So I finally in an online chat tracked down someone who was a gold member there and they were explaining how amazing it was to "go Gold." I asked him if it was clear how you earned after he went gold and he said it was unclear, but it was obvious to him that he would get a quick return on his investment. To me, if they can't show you HOW to earn then how can you gurantee that you earn? I mean mylot doesn't tell us the 'forumula' but they do tell us that participating in discussions is the way to earn money here. The site you speak of makes me leary at best.

well, the members are very eager to add you on their contact list, that's for sure. but they kept talking about upgrading to gold that you can't even have a simple conversation with the members. and it seems like the only way for you to earn is to upgrade first because even if you earn points by trying to communicate with other people it would be for nothing if you are just a free member.

I also heard that when you do upgrade, you lose the points you earn as a free member. so What's the point of earning points as a free member if you can't cash them out and you can't carry them over?

well, i contacted their support and asked if i can earn points first before upgrading. they did confirm that once i upgrade, i have to start earning points again as a gold member. so, there's really no value to the points you earn. i think it's just a way to verify your rank and the amount of contribution to the site.

I hate that site. I'm not loving it. I joined there as a free member and don't have any plans to upgrade and do any activity in there. The same greetings you received once they added you in their contact list because they can earn points to that once they urged someone to upgrade. I better promote mylot coz this is purely for free, you will earn money by sharing and also you will learn something from here. This site is the best earning site compared to that site! Happy mylotting! ! ^^

I am not in that site and I don´t like a site that keeps inducing me to upgrade. Almos every site has a posibility to upgrade, but we know what we want to do. No need to coax us. I fortunatly don´t know the site. I earn my money online trading sites with friends but not investing anywhere. The experience of upgrading or renting referrals was not a good one.

Oh my dear, I cannot say how much I detest that site!!! What the admin is doing is encouraging the Gold Members to spam the upgrade options. To me, that's highly unethical and bad business. I was a member for a few months, upgraded, then was forced to downgrade after my referrals downgraded. I admit to spamming the others as well when I was gold, however, as I look back at it, I feel just plain awful :-( It's not right. Then, when I downgraded, I was another target for that "upgrade to gold" spam. It didn't feel good. I left, then came back and deleted the site. I wouldn't recommend that site to anyone. Even as a gold member, you have to post like a maniac in order to earn your money, I was spending HOURS on it. It's not worth it. Sorry for my rant, it's just that I have no good words about the site. :-(

errrr. correction, it's not like someone MADE me to downgrade, it's just that I couldn't afford the fee, is all.

oh, so it's not really easy to earn that 200 points everyday then? most members make it look like it's simple. haha. maybe that's just their way to encourage newbies to upgrade to gold. but hats out to them, they are very inventive on how to say the word "gold". what about the university? is it like mylot where you can share ideas or participate in discussions?

Ive dealt with sites like this in the past,I try to avoid sites like that because i feel that i should not have to spend money to do something other sites are offering for free. Keep your chin up and look around you'll find plenty of free opportunities around that are more then worth the time and effort. Also some food for thought for anyone running a site that offers to let their upgraded users make money.... if your site is really as good as you say it is why would you need users to pay in order to make money? Seems counter intuitive to me. If your program works as well as you say it does you shouldn't need more of my money to let me in the program.

I've seen many sites that encourages you to upgrade. But I don't join these sites. In some pts sites, they require upgrading. Instead of earning money, you spend with these sites. When I see that the sites needs upgrades, I just turn down these sites. You'll just waste money on their upgrades.

i agree with you there. upgrading an account should be just an opportunity to boost one's earnings and not a requirement to earn.
