Hi All,
In recent comments to the media, Arsene Wenger has said that he might make signings in the coming transfer window. Though he maintains there is no such critical need at the moment. He has come under severe criticism for not landing established players and the five year trophy drought the club is experiencing. Will he buy?
I think Arsenal need a good left back given the inconsistency of Clichy and the injury proneness of Gibbs. Arsenal definitely need a left footed player on the flanks who can make crosses to Chamakh from the wings.
Common Wenger, change your tactics.

Considering Wenger's attitude, I don't believe he will do a mayor signing for any position. If he does signings, he will probably buy cheap bargain players or loan them.
In my opinion, the best solution would be left back Joan Capdevila as he is rather old, it won't be expensive and also he has international experience and most important, he isn't slow.
As for the goalkeeper, I would suggest Lazio's goalkeeper Fernando Muslera as he is very good and young, which means he can still improve even further. Also Atletico's goalkeeper De Gea would be a good option.

Actually he has already made one signing. Again it is some obscure youngster who is a promising striker. I think right now Arsenal need a top notch goalkeeper. They still do not have one real top notch reliable goalkeeper. And for me that remains their shop list.
Cheers!

i think that he might buy a few players if the price is right maybe get a older experienced central midfielder to take the pressure of cesc fabregas. If wenger buys you know in reality it will be a youngster and he will then mould him.

Knowing Wenger, it is unlikely that there is be any new signings during the January transfer window. But Arsenal really does need some reinforcement. While many have call for a new goalkeeper, I think they dont need one. From his few outings, Szcznesy look very bit a great goalkeeper. And he seem pretty comfortable in the air as well. So, instead of getting a new goalkeeper, Wenger should just promote the young pole to the first choice. So that left with only the central defender and the left-back. They really need a tough and nonsense cb that can win every high ball pumped into the area. As for LB, sorry, clichy got to go and gibbs is too injury prone. Another area that need strengthen is striker. Chamakh is too weak to lead the frontline on his own. Van Persie is too injury prone and Bendtner just misses too much.
