I saw this on tv commercial re advertisement of a certain coffee brand. However, the thought of such commercial makes me wonder: What motivates people to get up in the morning? Do you face each morning with enthusiasm or just forcing yourself to get up because you are oblige to?

Hi there! When I read your title post,I remember at once the coffee commercial, lol! Well,it's a good question though. I get up for my daughter, she's just almost 3 years old so I have to prepare things before she gets up. I usually wash her feeding bottles and prepare her food and the things she needs when taking a bath. My son is already 20 years old so he doesn't need much attention when it comes to his physical needs. My hubby is not here with us since he is working abroad so mostly,I get up only for my baby.. Happy holidays!

Good question there buddy, there are many things that motivates us to wake up, some reasons can be very powerful that can make us run out of your bed like to meet someone special to you and sometimes for some other reasons, for me the only reason for me to wake up is just to force myself to move on in life nothing so far made me run of from the bed, the daily routine i face makes life so boring to me.

oh, ith such username, I don't believe that you have no flame in you that motivates you to get up. It is such a sad thing to know that we do wake up because we need to and not because we love to and we anticipate something or someone we would see at day light... When I was so inlove,I wanted to stay awake all day long and even night. And whenever I dozed off and woke up an hour later, I did not mind because the thought of talking or seeing him makes me hyper active.LOL You'll soon find that flame, Fireheart. Just wait and see.:) Happy holidays.:)

Hello fireheart, Well, that's for those who have a relationship but as for those who are lonely or single that has boring lives, waking up is just another day. Usually, people like me becomes motivated at the late time, probably when an idea emerges.or something I need to do that I haven't done yet.

@Knight, The idea there is to never sulking one corner contemplating hoe boring your life is. because at the end f the day you will only feel miserable knowing that you have wasted another day. Whether we are inspired to get up or not, dawn will always come as well as the dusk. It is your call if you do nothing or you do something.:)

I usually wake up to attend classes in time. But that's getting less and less of motivation now. Besides, I sleep too late during vacations so my routine is all upset. If I'm at home, I wake up to show my mom I'm up and ready LOL

Oh, c'mon. That's what the same mistake I had when I was at your age. I was so lazy to get up because of school. :( If I can turn back the hands of time, it'll going to be a different story. I'll get up with pure enthusiasm.:) LOL. You are trying to be a good son, huh. :) Well, at least you are doing your best to please your Mum.:) Happy holidays, Hora_fugit.:)

I usually get up because my dog wants to go out and take care of his business, so I end up staying up. The sun is shining and its just another beautiful morning on the tropical Island of Puerto Rico. Why wouldn't I want to get up? I like to getup with the idea of achieving something everyday. So I don't feel oblige to, but I surely want to get up and enjoy another beautiful sunny day.

Hi, Lelin. It is so nice to hear/read a very enthusiastic response here. Yup, why wouldn't you want to get up with such a scenic view. It isn't always and everybody gets to enjoy such little pleasure in life like you have. That is a very good reason to get up and start your day kicking. If I were you, I'll always look forward to a new dawn.

Of course I wake up for my loved ones, my family and friends. I welcome every new day with a smile and try to fulfill my dreams. I thank God for each new day I have a chance to live. :)

Hi there, Reco.:) It is always a great thing that there is something or someone that/who motivates us to wake up. Giving our lives a deeper purpose and not just a simple fact of existence. Conditioning your mind and yourself by thinking positive thoughts is also a agreat way to perk up your day and getting a positive result as well at the end of the day.:)

Hi sweetie. The last year was the best for me to get up each morning. To know what i will do and who i will actually spend the day with made me move out of bed like never before. My motivation was the one who hold my heart. You cannot get better motivation than that. TATA.

Hi, Saphy.;) I do know that. Few years ago I had that same feeling and motivation, too. Though, I still am motivated to get up but not because of the same person who used to hold my heart but because of my children that I love so much.:) Is it a lovely feeling indeed that the very first thing to come to mind whenever we wake up is that person we love so dearly. I wouldn't mind getting up for early as often as I needed to with such feeling.:) Happy holidays, dear.:)

I get up to open the gates and let in our maids. Then starts making breakfast, putting everyones uniform and dresses in their rooms and preparing the prayer room for my grandmom.I do like to think everyday that todays going to be different and interesting.I dont feel like getting up in the winters though..It feels like the toughest job to step out of my bed in the morning when its so cold and sleepy!

Well, I saw this also and makes me wonder if I do have the reason to get up..lol. And I realized that everybody gets up for a reason..that's true. I'm convinced now that I get up for the reason of satisfying my needs. Though I know, my family could provide my needs, it is my satisfaction to feed myself of my needs. I'm not used to rely on someones effort to be my provider. We know that sometimes, we feel like we are tired of our routine, but in our subconcious, still there is the voice telling us we still want to be productive to enjoy life. We have to do things because we want it and not because we are oblige to do so or doing it to please anybody. I like that commercial too, actually.

Hello Eurekafemme, It's already a usual thing for me to sleep at least six to eight hours just to wake up with a good mood. I am not forced to wake up unless my mom does wake me up for a reason. Well, it depends though some mornings are bad (with nightmares), others are due to bad sleeping position, wrong timing, or the fact that just another day that is going to be boring again. Commercials are only to promote products and for me it has no significant meaning except to promote their products.

Hi, Knight.:) I know you have an idea what commercial I was referring here, ei.Yes, I absolutely agree that commercials are there to promote a certain product or service but somehow some commercials also deliver some good values. Anyways, you are lucky that you are privilege to wake up any time you prefer. Whilst others do not have much choice ( like I do) because whether they like it or not they have certain obligations and duties to fulfill... If you are only expecting a boring day, then ,you might as well go back to bed rather than getting up and spent the day thinking it is boring.:)

Hi there eurekafemme!!!I think the main person or people who motivates me to wake up and face each day aside from GOD is my family.Without my family it is pointless to wake up and continue working on task everyday. They are my purpose and they inspire me to endure any pain and hardships that I am facing. It is really hard to live a good life nowadays, but I will continue living and working hard for my family in order for me to repay them for the good things that they gave me in my life and to also show them how much they mean to me...

Hello, Jordq.:) I couldn't help but admire your faithfulness and loyalty to your family.Yes, it is very true that once we truly care for our family they become the driving force within us to keep moving and aiming for a beautiful future. Just keep on, dear. God will surely pay your kindness and good heart.:) Happy Holidays.:)
