Do you prefer giving a present or receiving one?

This Christmas I prefer both giving and receiving gifts coz I believe that Christmas is a season when we should be giving un others. I also wanna receive gifts so that's why I prefer both.

If I have a really good idea for a gift for someone that I know they will love, then I really love giving gifts. But if I'm compelled to get a gift without a good idea, like I am with a lot of people at Christmas (since you have so many people to buy for and not enough ideas!) then giving gifts is hard. I like receiving gifts if I know the person who might give me one knows me well and knows my tastes because I am sure they will get me something I like or can use. But in general, it seems like a waste of money to get gifts because either you wind up getting people things they don't want or you wind up getting things you don't want. I think it would be better if we would just give people gifts when we felt like it! You know, if you see something someone you know would like, then it would be nice to just give it to them and not wait until Christmas.

I love giving presents. I love giving presents to my parents, cousins and friends. But for some unknown reason I don't like receiving presents that much. May it's my ego that plays a role here. May be I don't want anyone to have expectations from me. Whatever it is, it prevents me from enjoying gifts. Sometimes getting favor from a person puts you into obligations and you have problems going against that person even if he does something wrong. I have faced that thing in the past. But all these things never stop me from giving away presents to people I love.

I like both, but I slightly prefer giving I think. It is a good feeling to make others feel happy :)

I'd have to say I like both.. I mean I LOVE giving presents. I like receiving presents too when it comes to my boyfriend.. There's nothing cuter than him buying me a NICE purse, and some clothes. It's just nice to see how well he knows me, it's the thought that counts, not the actual gift. I'm pretty excited to give him his gift as well.

I prefer exchanging presents rather than just giving or recieving.

giving, when i have loads of money to waste and receiving, when i'm broke. so current status is: BROKE :p so definitely receiving :D
