5 Serving of Fruit

I have read and heard that we should eat five servings of five different fruits each day. That seem like a lot of fruit to eat it use to be three servings, but the number increase to five. Do we really need all that fruit to get the health benefits from eat fruit or eating health. What's all this noise about these super fruit do they have some special power that if you eat them you will not have to eat another fruit along as you live?

Hi Chalde24!.
When I visiting my aunt house, she used to breakfast with five kind of fruit and carrot. She continue it because she had improvement in her eye sight. She usually need glasses to reads but now she doesn't need it. I think thats amazing but I don't have effort to made it. So I just try it occasionally when I feel want it.

That shouldn't be too difficult actually. For my morning meal I can have berres in my oatmeal, then eat a blueberry muffin for my snack!
Then an apple to help clean my teeth after lunch... and a half a banana with my afternoon oatmeal/peanutbutter snack. And a piece of lemon pie after supper! lol!!!

wow, it will be very troublesome to eat five kinds of fruit in a day. I think it will be easier to eat a kind of fruit everyday, and five different in a week.

I was told it was 5 servings of fruits and vegetables everyday. Yes you should have variety because they have different vitamins and nutrients. It can be in the form of juices, even pasta sauce is one serving.

Here in the Philippines fruits are expensive. In lieu of the 2 or 3 servings of the 5 fruits servings each day, you could eat vegetables instead. Fruits and vegetables are good for metabolism, thereby cleaning your system of impurities and making your immune system stronger. They help in maintaining good skin and they retard the aging process because of the nutrients which are beneficial to health.
