Do you Decorate outside for the Holidays?

I always decorate outside for the holidays. I really enjoy putting up the decorations and seeing the lights and displays at night. I find that a lot of people don't decorate very much or even at all. I think it would be beautiful if everyone took a little time to decorate for their holiday, whatever it may be. My neighbors call me little Martha stuart because I am always decorating and doing creative things, but I really enjoy it and I think it is important for kids to see as well.

Awww that is too bad. I agree it can take time, but for me it is worth it because I enjoy it. I live in the country as well, but I decorate regardless because it is for me and my family to enjoy and celebrate with.

That should be fun for you then. I like to decorate both in and outside the house. A nice red bow on the door will look pretty though I bet! I usually put a wreath on all the windows and doors, and lights in the windows. We also put lights outside on the fences that go around our property.

Halloween decorations - This is what the house looked like for Halloween. The camera didn't exactly take the best pic, but it looked pretty neat anyway!
Wow!, is that YOUR house all decked up? If it is it's AMAZING! My hubby and I decorate for just about every holiday! Easter, Flag Day, Halloween, Christmas. We always put colored lights out and mount different things to the porch. I LOVE decorating!! This past halloween we had lights strung around the banister, a flaming couldrin where the porch light was, a black motorized cat on the porch roof, and a giant pumpkin next to the front door.

I love that you decorate and celebrate the holidays. my entire road decorates for most of the holidays and it is so much fun. I have always decorated since I was a little girl. My Parents always decorated when I was growing up so I think that is why I started young and continue to do it in my adult life. I now have a 3 month old daughter and both my husband and I can't wait until she is old enough to really get into decorating. Halloween will be even more fun and Christmas will just be so magical again through her eyes.

That is good though, at least you decorate a little. I think any sort of decorating really celebrates the seasons. I would rather see a little something than nothing at all. I do understand though that some people don't have the time or desire, but I still find it sad when people choose not to decorate.

I love decorating outside and I love looking at houses with tons of decors especially on holiday season. The last time we decorated our house was HALLOWEEN! The whole people in our village decorated their houses for Halloween. There are tons of scary decors i.e. witches, scare crows, bats, cobwebs on glass, fake caskets, ghosts, pumpkins, etc. I can't wait to decorate our house for christmas!

Halloween is my personal favorite and the people on my road all like to decorate for the holidays so Halloween is always a really fun one. People make scare crows, zombies, big grave yard scenes, flying ghosts, each year it is something different. It is almost like a competition but a friendly one! For Christmas everyone just puts up lights outside and in their windows and some do other larger displays which is really wonderful.

I haven't the last couple of years but I might this year. I have a six week old daughter that is really fasinated by lights so I will probably hang some around the house for her.

I have a 11 week old daughter and she loves lights as well, so this year the decorating will be really special for her to see. I am really looking forward to the holidays because my husband and I get to experience it through her eyes even though she is just an infant. She already has some of her own decorations for the tree and her room!

We have blue icicle lights on our house. We also have a wreath on the door, but that is the extent of what we do for decorating the outside of the house. If we lived in a neighborhood that had more traffic I would definately decorate more. I love to decorate for the holidays.

That is great. I think even a string of lights and a wreath is a nice simple way to decorate. I actually would rather see that than too much stuff crammed into a yard, it loses something when people try to over do it. I am looking forward to pulling out the decorations this weekend after Thanksgiving!

No we don't. We talk about doing it almost every year, but never get around to actually doing it. Maybe once we actually own our home for the Holidays it'll be a different story, I hope.
