Which country would you like to visit to appreciate the arts?

There are different types of arts. In my country for about five to en decades ago, writing poems is very much appreciated. When I was in grade school I have read a lot of great poems made by famous poet in my country but nowadays poems are not anymore appreciated. Some people find writing stories as very entertaining. Now a days I have observed song is writing is admired by most people. Some people find photography as an art. What about in your country, what kind of arts is well appreciated? And if given a chance, which country would you like to visit to appreciate the arts? Why?

Guess the arts you are referring to are the fine arts? If I were to choose what countries to visit to view the arts of my choice, and it concerns western art, I will go to Greece to see ancient art, and Italy because that is the seat of the renaissance.
If it is Eastern art, I would visit China and India because it already represents much of the region, and out dates other recorded civilizations.

I am more appreciative of written work and thanks to the internet, I don't have to go to another country just to read them. As an example, I have read the following passage and it almost broke my heart after reading it: I keep hoping he’ll come tap tap against my window. It seemed that misery cannot be eradicated. The internet has lot of treasures to offer most of them written.
