It so happen after 15 minutes or less, the screen turns black which i thought it turned off but when I checked the power its on, what's the problem with my lappy? I pull out the battery and try turning it on still the same. And keep on trying and tryingby plugging and unplugging it, its getting worst it stays until 5 minutes or less. What should I do? What is the problem with my laptop? CAN YOU HELP ME IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM SO I CAN BE ABLE TO FIX IT? =( Thanks.

I went to the HP website and found out that they have a guide on there for doing a troubleshoot of your model of laptop. So here is the link below and best of luck also if you feel brave enough you can always open it up your self but this is taking a pretty big risk as laptops are made of smaller components and are easier to break. So be especially careful. It also might be cheaper and less of a stresser if you sent it to HP and had them fix it which depending on the problem could be $100 to $300 dollars to fix.

Ftrazona, if you want to make sure it's not a software related problem, i advice you to format your pc, Install a new operating system, install all the needed drivers & programs. After that check out of this problem still occurs, because after all that, if it's still having the same prohlem, then you are dealing with hardware problem, may be cable connection between motherboard & screen is damamged somehow. Remember one thing, it's all gessing Ftrazona, start with easy steps till you Find out the real problem. Good luck Ftrazona ^_^ PS : Would you tell us what's the operating system you are using : 1_Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows Seven. 2_Have you installed any programs or drivers before this problem happened.

Yeah we can't begin to troubleshoot the issue tell we know a little more about what your computer is running. Or if you installed any programs or drivers then this started to happen.

@ansi: Hi, Thanks for that and I was so impressed to that response. hehe my name is Jadi, you guys can call me Jadi . . ^^ Anyway, Do, I have to visit someone when I am going to install a new operating system, needed drivers and programs, etc? Or I can do it myself? If I can do it myself, what are the things needed and where can I get them? You mentioned, :may be cable connection between motherboard and screen is damaged" my screen is damaged, it seems like breaking and I observed once I close my laptop its getting bigger, so I just left it open.. =( I'm afraid if I am going to close it back, when I wake up, maybe my laptop are all lines or nothing appears anymore. 1.) I am using Windows XP coz that is the operating Im most comfortable. 2.) As I remember, I didn't install any programs before that happen but I encountered that time a connection problem )on and off net connection) Then I was calling my service provider to fix my problem coz I encountered it one week, then after that they came and fixed it. ASfter they fixed it, so unlucky coz I encountered this problem, It started to turn my screen black while the power is on. So, I was in panic and decided to buy a second hand desktop as a substitute or back up to my online job. =( Thanks for the help ansi. @joev: Why are there some programs destroy laptops or desktops? ^^ I am not familiar with the gadgets.. hahah I just knew the basics. need some tutors. LOL thanks to mylot you guys are there to help! ^^ Thank you so much! ! =)

Sometimes it almost certainly damage to its hardware, like the previous answer, there is the possibility of damage to the inferter. but there is the possibility tetep I think more damage leads to circuit board behind the LCD, usually because it was weak.

Hardware? Actually, Before I am going to send this to a technician or in a repair shop, I need to consult some people who know whats the problem coz some technicians here take advantage to those who don't know much about the gadget and they ask you a big pay. =( Thanks!

Try to run the system in SAFE mode first. After doing so, observe if it will not give you the black screen. If the operating system continues to load then you might be experiencing driver conflicts on NORMAL mode. This can be good news to you since it will only require you to either update device drivers or disable hardwares with conflicting drivers installed. You can access safe mode by pressing the F8 key repeatedly when the first screen appears until the startup menu opens.

best answer to your problem is Hardware failure, it may open for sometime but surely it will fail over and over again. this problem occur when miss-handling of the screen or the monitor of the laptop. do not ever lift your laptop using the screen, do not place any magnetize object over the screen, this may cause uneven distribution of colors or fade away or even make your screen blackout. better bring it to a technician if you can afford for a replacement of the screen or maybe they can make alternatives for it rather than replacing it totally.

Well I had this happen to one of my laptops.. Then the screen didn't work at all. I found out that the laptop screen has to be replaced. I haven't had the money to get that one fixed yet. It actually cost more to fix it then it did to get this one. Maybe it is cheaper now I don't know.. it has been almost a year since that happened to mine. hope you were able to get yours fixed
