I have a compaq laptop CQ50, whose specification amd Turion 2.0 Ghz and its VGA nVidia Gforce 8200. the problem is lately I reinstall because of Compaq's own recommendation after I had time to call and vent my laptop problems, and I use Vista OS. but here there was little change regarding his performance, in dxdiag I see the VGA memory to 310mb, and graphic capabilities are also seen to decline and slow, especially if using that for playing games. there is some weirdness here, among others: 1. when my laptop first time, VGA 512 MB memory, and I see my 890mb RAM, but now my VGA I fixed my 310mb and 890mb RAM 2. first time I bought her laptop specs is 512mb VGA, so if not 512mb not meet specifications dong 3. VGA even if it results from the Share, but will definitely change my RAM capacity, RAM fact I still wrote like the beginning and end 4. VGA which currently has a memory capacity that is not fair that is 310 mb, memory capacity it should be a multiple of 8, such as 64, 128, 256, 384, 512 etc. 5, the ability of my laptop is not good, but it made no difference with pentium 4 computers that only use the VGA share, play games just lag. that's all the problems I was having now, I really hope someone helps ease the mind and the problems that I experienced this. so far I have tried several alternatives with telpn compaq service center to ask laptoop issue with me, but strangely, the answer is not satisfactory and even worse the more he says frankly that he did not know, until I am confused I have to ask kesiapa? What should I ask the acer service center if Compaq did not know? and I also have tried to go to compaq service center is very far from my residence, and the answer was not satisfactory, he said that this issue concerns softwere problem, we just menggaransikan hardwere alone, and he said that all softwere been uploaded to the official website Compaq . I laughed and a bit disappointed, because before I went to the compaq service center, I have tried to download all the softwere in webbsite it, but the result is the same, mangkanya I went to the service center, why even told to download again .. huh! that's my problem ... I really hope someone helps me here. whatever your answer I appreciate, because I believe that you answered not by necessity and chance. and I say a thousand thanks to everyone who has membantuu in overcoming my problem is. ucapakan end I said thanks again

If typically Florentine desktop PC, if found indicators as above, there are problems on the VGA card. (of either OB or not). At the same laptop is also found that on its VGA. The difference is that in the desktop PC you just remove the damaged VGA card from its slot and then replace it with a normal, complete! But the same can Laptops in general, and especially this type of Compaq. Of course you already know what to do, namely around the VGA. And to find the VGA is not easy, because all components must be separated first. Battery, LCD, Optical, Kayboard, HD Memory, Wifi card and so on, until finally just found the location of its VGA chipset.

Hey ! Looks like going through a bad patch ah?? ok. try the below listed steps to fix your problem. 1. if you have a 512 MB ram and its showing less then, its because of the paging file. always it will show little less than the actual memory you have in your comp. Since you have said you play games, its better to upgrade your memory as 512 MB is not sufficient for 3D and animated games. I will also like to suggest you to Change your operating system to Windows7 or XP. Because Vista is the worst ever Operating system microsoft ever made.

OS are you using anything earlier? when previously using Windows XP, your laptop may not comptible with Windows Vista, try using Windows XP again. (but I think it was your laptop compatible with Vista). Try to ask whether your laptop is compatible with Windows XP, if it's compatible, mending using XP because it is lighter and more stable.
