Possibility of Discussion Crisis... Do you agree?

Inspired from one of discussion starter said today is ordinary day like before even christmas season.. Discussions are slowdown and few of them are similar to old and discussed issues and other are copy paste only, questions that easy to answer of simple yes or no, a discussion starter only not even response to the response of the responders. Is this situation giving us indication that here in mylot are having discussion crisis? Or because Christmas holiday that's why? I don't think soo.

NOt actually crisis,every discussion old or new may bring new views from different members and such.Even old discussion can become new with new twists and such.And also mylot members keep growing and also new information and view also differ in different time.Hence i guess there is no problem.If discussion is boring surely people will move away to other forum.

You mean to say the old discussion could be possible to re-invent through change the title or arrange it differently and small changes in the body be possible.. I don't think so.. What is the use of mylot search "discussions" if can be like that... correct me if i'm over re-acting... see you around

I would say this is because of holiday seasons. Except few countries all other countries will have christmas holidays. So naturally the response would be slowed down. It is not because of discussion crisis. Its only due to holidays which most of them may not be responding.

i think people just ran out of ideas and many people are not that active in mylot because they are on holiday... that's all... but i don't think we will have a discussion crisis here because i can still respond to plenty of discussion here and still earning alright... take care and have a nice day...

They ranout of ideas to discuss so they talk about the holiday and another thing is they don't comply with the guidelines so they avoid repetition though I am guilty of that sometimes myself because I do post some of the questions that are already posted because I did not search beforehand if it was already posted.

Sometimes all of us comes to those times when we seems a bit suffering from temporary mental block. Even this question that you post seems like the same genre as those you are asking about. :). It is picking up from where others left off and still there is something to reply in.

Might be you thinking about that but if you can see (not possible) I have here in the top of my table a list of my topic titles and one this topic. I just happened that I include such idea because I read first her discussion before I posted mine. I just get her idea not copy or pick as you said... May be mental block as you mentioned but observed first the kind of discussion around... Anyway thanks to your comments... see you around

I think there are too many mylot members and too much variety in life to have a discussion crisis, although the level of discussion does not always look the same. Maybe if you check out some other interests in MyLot you will find more people discussing. The only way I could see a discussion crisis here is if MyLot gets too picky about discussion requirements.

hi visavis no not really this happens over the holidays as some of
us older users are not on as much b ut run out of topics, never.
there is no crisis here thank God for that as our off line
worlds have damned plenty of them; losing jobs,losing homes,
being homeless, working like crazy to get back on ones feet.
to someof us mylot is a great haven and perhaps haveing born
up under our trials we can help other mylotters here. Run out
of topic, no not likely.relax I have been here three years and
have seen p eople come and go and new topics added and some
deleted. No discussion crisis more like off line crisis but it
will resolve trust me on that.

I really think that everyone is taking it easy due to the holiday. Therefore, discussions are slowed down a lot of the time. I remember they were down about this time this year. I think in January, they are about back to their usual levels. I think that everyone is either taking a break for the holidays or that everyone is having about the same thought patterns. It does happen at certain times of the year. It is no big deal.
