Keeping your computer clean and occasionally perform a Disk CleanUp and Defrag (if you have Windows) should help clean up any useless, "space-eating" bytes from your computer. I would recommend getting an external hard-drive and loading movies, music, tv shows, etc onto them, and thus saving you even more room on your computer. When considering external hard-drives, if you are constantly traveling with your computer (in terms of a laptop), I would HIGHLY recommend a portable hard drive like the Western Digital MyPassport. It is very easy to use and portable, so you can take it, slip it into your pocket, and be on your way. You can find them on Amazon ranging from $100-$70... astore.amazon.com/lots_of_lulz-20/detail/B0041OSQ9S Of course, if you don't want to carry stuff in your pocket, then purchasing RAM would not be so bad either in terms of saving space as well. Good luck and

Buddy the only reason your computer slows is u get more memory. like when u install windows u will use 4-5gb space and then when u start using your computer u will most likely add 50 gb more. the point here your computer can never go back to the speed it started. no matter how much ram u put in it. cuase it takes less time to load 5 gb than 50 gb no matter @ wat speed of ram. But u can surly speeed up your computer There is a award winning software known as Tuneup utility this software will Remove up temp file and free disk space . delete internet cookies and stuff like that which will increase your system speed. it will also speed your system start up. But No matter wat u wont get the speed which was in start ! if u have 4 gb ram it will take 4 secs to load 5gb and 20 to load 50 (exaple) if u have 8gb ran it will take 2 secs to load 5gb and 10 to load 50 (but u wont get your original speed back cause u r using low disk space )

Is your computer fast before? If it is, you may have lots of junk files in your computer. The same thing happens to me. I used 2 softwares that helped me clear my junkies. I used the free softwares called WinDirStat and CCLEANER. By using Windirstat, I discovered large files that are unused in my hard disks. This software automatically detects all my files. Since then my pc works better. The CCleaner deletes your cookies, internet histories, etc. automatically. It can also fix your registry. It is more faster that disk cleanup.

mrblur94 did a good job in covering most everything I can think of. I did want to add that you should also surf the 'net safely. Watch what websites you go to because those are going to be the top methods for acquiring a bunch of crap on your computer.

Physical things you can do is clean off the dust that builds up on the components(heat is a computers enemy). Also, you can clean off your RAM cards, by scuffing off the oxides that form on the terminals(I've never tried this, but some say it is a good idea, makes a lot of sense though). Make sure to manage a bunch of those useless start up applications, uninstall them or disable them at the very least. Give the computer a good virus cleanup, registry clean up etc.... Some times it is just best to buy a new computer though, since you can a computer at half the price of the one you had 5 years ago, and which is about 2-3 times faster....

Electronic goods such as computers and laptops are relatively easily damaged, especially by heat. Though the price of new computers are also generally still expensive, but if 3-6 months later the price may come down very drastically, especially if there are any defective component. Therefore we must maintain our computers and laptops to stay groomed and not easily damaged. To treat this matter I have some tips on how simple and easy to care for a laptop and computer to be more durable and long lasting: 1. Maintain cleanliness and laptop computers Clean regularly using a computer and a laptop with a cloth. If you are not accustomed to using a special liquid, you should not use the liquid at all. Use a soft cloth but do not leave pieces of "fur", so as not to scratch the screen (screen) of your monitor or LCD. 2. Keep away from Food and Beverage. Keep away from possible exposure to fallout underestimated food or drink water. In order for your computer / laptop to stay clean.

computers are tough to take care of. try not to download too many stuff into that computer of yours. do not use it for more than 5 hours straight. let it have a 1 hour rest after 5 hours of non-stop usage. store the computer in a cool dry place and try not to let it overheat. you can buy a mini-fan to blow at its vents to improve cooling or store it inside an air-conditioned room. defragmentate your hard disk often to improve the speed of the HDD. purchase an anti-virus software and check for viruses everyday. thats about it. remember to REST YOUR EYES!!!
