What qualities are the most important in friends?

I've recently had issues with friends where I've had to reevaluate what I really want in a friend. I'd rather have fewer friends who are honest, trustworthy, non-judgemental, supportive and real, than lots who are superficial and phonie. It's sad to me how many people who I thought were friends really don't want to go deep and be real.
