Disney Pixar Cars 2

Has anyone heard of the Disney Pixar Cars 2 being released in June 2011. I just say the previews online last night for it with my 5 year old son and he has been driving me crazy since then. He keeps on asking me when are we going to take him to see. Personally I didn't even know there was a part 2 being done, until last night. Did anyone know it was coming out, has it formally been announced? Are you planning on seeing it when it comes out in theaters? I am looking forward to taking my son to see it this summer coming up.
