Disney Cruise or not?

I want to hear some advise and/or experiences.
I am in thinking about taking a cruise next year, but I would like to try the Disney Cruise. I have a 3 year old that will be four by that time and a 5 year old and I know that they would love it. But I have personally never been in one, I have wonderful stories and experience and most of the people I have talked to have told me it's worth it.
But it is double the amount of any other cruise line such as Carnival, Royal Caribbean or NCL. I have been on cruises with Carnival and NCL and my huband and kids as well as myself love them, we try and go on one almost every year. But my son is starting Kindergarten next year and we wanted to do something special before he starts.
So what do you think?

Disney is Disney. I have not been to a cruise yet so I cannot compare. But if you take a Disney Cruise, I bet your kids will smile the moment they set foot on that ship because they are a bit attached to Disney already. They are quite familiar with it. So I am imagining it that as if your kids have stepped into a different world when they board the ship. And I think for you and your husband, that would be the best feeling ever... And to top it all, you get to go have fun altogether...

You so right, I was just talking to my husband about it this evening, and we actually called the Disney Cruise line to get more information and we have decided that we are going to take the cruise next May. I showed my kids pictures of the ship and the activities and you should've seen the smile on their faces.
I can't wait...
Thank you for the advise...

The cruise is going to be a week long, I have taken 3 or 4 day cruises and to me they are way to short, it feels that the minute you walk in you are already walking out the next day. You spend 4 days on the boat and 3 days in different islands, which is not that bad, because you get to relax on the boat and have fun. So I am really looking forward to it. I think it's definite already we just need to make our deposit.
Thank you for the great advise.
Happy New Year!!!

I have got a three year old disabled son and an 18 month old daughter. We love to go on our travels. In the case of travel plans for your family I believe that a Disney Cruise would be ideal for you. Your children aged 4 years old and 5 years old would be likely to have a really fantastic time on such a trip. It is great that you have experience of cruises already so you know what to expect. There would be many sorts of children's fun activities on board. Yes, it is a really great idea to have a special trip before your son begins kindergarten.
