Which are biggest job scams in history?

There have been many companies which start out with great profits but upon loss shut down.There are others which promise high share value when actually at loss to attract investors
For example the satyam computers scam
If there any others can you please tell.

There is the Bre-X scam. You should research that up. It's a mining (gold digging) scam. They claim that they have uncovered gold, which drove prices high up. Then people discovered that there was no gold at all.

Any of those Nigeria offers that tend to pop up on e-mails. Chances are many people know what I'm talking about, but it is an offer that you are told that you inherited money from what they claimed to be the country of Nigeria. All you need is to give some personal information. If I remember rightly, there were many bank accounts being cleaned out and much credit being ruined. That would have to be among the top of all scams of all time.

In effort not duplicate I am posting in your comment box. I could not have said it better as this was my first immediate thought.
These emails are not lessening but growing in numbers. I am amazed on the number of people who falsely fall for these scams. As I know a few who have. Sadly.
