Usually, it will be the best time to purchase a new vehicle toward the end of the year, because those dealers might offer extra discount to get rid of their over - stocked stocks, in order for the new model vehicles coming in. I saw a couple of models on Toyota brand, they offered pretty good prices on corolla, and camry. About others, I just couldn't even think of making plan to buy them, because they are just out of budget. So, anyone planning on purchase a new car lately?

Even if I could afford to purchase a brand-new car, (unless I won a good amount on the lotto) I would not. They lose their value as soon as you drive them off the lot. I think it is much more beneficial financially to purchase an almost new car, about 2-3 years old. They are usually less than 1/2 the cost of a brand-new car. Even a year old car will save several hundred dollars, if not a few thousand depending on the mileage.
Unless someone is wealthy enough to afford to throw that money away, for instance if I won the lotto (please God please let me win!) I would buy a new one to spur the economy and for the auto workers to keep their jobs.
If all goes well, by Spring I will go to the auction and get a car. I plan on spending about $600.00 for a car, and hoping I can get a decent model under 4 years old. If my cats stop getting sick maybe I will be able to go to auction, but if they continue then I cannot. I do need a car. If the cats keep costing me money, then maybe I will have to rig up some sort of cat sleigh so they can drive me around.
I would prefer to get one from the dealership because they do offer a warranty on the cars they sell, but I cannot afford to do that.
I think an older model is better for those who have to watch their pennies. You can look up the car online and see what people are saying about it. You find out problems people have with it, if it gets the mileage it should, etc. I like to look at Edmunds.com and see the reviews. With a new car, it is difficult to get a grasp on how well built it is. They usually don't start falling apart until the warranty expires, so it is not easy to find what can go wrong with the car you want to buy.
