hi velvet great quotes. I have one, smile and make everyone wonder
what the heck you are up to. And again , when someone asks you how'
are you, tell them, it will make their day. lol my husband was always'so irked by people saying how are you and not even giving a damn really'you or your health. so this one day we were out for a walk and this lady from down the street whom we barely knew except to say hi to us said the old stale" how are you Nr. hatley." his eyes soarked as he said, and grabbed her arm gently"well now I have a sore throat, and my knee hurts too, nice of you to ask. I have a cough too and a rash on my arm. do you know anything about rashes? oh yes and my eye is sore too" she started to back up and he said" oh please don't go so many people just do not care like you do, let me tell you about my low blood pressure, it makes me ,Uh where are you going?" by this time she had turned almost purple and was almost running towards her own house. when she was out of ear shot we both burst out laughing. when we went inside our son, who was twelve,asked us what was so funny; we told him the whole conversation and how the lady almost ran back to her house.
He broke up laughing too. oddly the other night myson brought up the same subject about the care givers asking me how I was each afternoon.
And he went into almost the same dialog as my husband had, with the
same flourishes.I broke out laughing as I did not know if he remembered my husband and the lady from up the street.he chuckled and admitted he had remembered that little charade too.

typo alert I missed sparked should have been sparkled. left out the l.
I forgot to make it clear I am for now living in a retirement
center and although I am not ill I do have diabetes and a leg in
a brace, but it always irks me when they comne in every day'avout three pm and ask me how are you as I always say I am fine. what the
hell do they expect me to say?, I have a cold and feel lousy? that
would have been the truth but why make waves.they are just workers,and
not medical people. If I had wanted to tell Christine about my cold I would have but shes only a nurse aide and not registered and whe would only have sent me to my doctor . now he is a good doctor and would have sent me home to rest ,drink lots of fluids, and take tylenol for pain. Now I already know to do that so avoided the hassle.

That is funny Hatley. You do have a point though. Most people ask how you are and they really don't care. I have people comment about my eyes. They sparkle a lot and people wonder what I am thinking. Oh, if only they knew. I try my best to keep a smile going all the time but it isn't always easy. I picture you as a very easy going and fun person to be around. Next time the nurse asks how are you reply with 'hold on a minute and let me evaluate myself'. I would love to see the reaction on their face if you do this.

I think if you taught some thing to your neighborer it is very good for you and your neighborer. I also think we should share all the thinks with our neighborer people and we should give all the helps as per my desire to them.
