Should NCAA change

Looking at this season in College football do you think that the NCAA should change some of their rules. One rule i think they need to change is the bowl selection process i think that there should be some type of playoff system. reason i say that is because you have some teams with better win percentages that other teams but they are ranked a lot lower that other teams and not selected to play in a bowl game. Another think i believe they need to change is that they need to force some of the bigger schools to play smaller schools so that some of the not well known school can get more exposure and hidden talented players the same exposure. these are a couple things i believe they need to change. What o you say and is there any others that you think should be changed?

I don't really disagree with you but I am not sure some of it will work. For instance Hawaii had a season a couple years ago where they didn't lose a game, but they played no one who presented any challenge, none of the bigger, tougher teams. When they did get to the bowl game they were selected for, they lost in a most embarrassing way... so I don't know what to do to fix it. Maybe it should be like high school football where there's different classes and each class (size) has their own set of bowl games... ?

I do see your point with the teams not being able to compete with the power house teams but if you force the teams to play at least one of the smaller schools you may see some of the smaller schools get better and beat the power house teams. The big schools can see it as a easy victory and the smaller school can look to upset but you give the smaller schools a chance to play a big name school, because right now the big schools can deny the smaller school's challenge. Yes that sounds good but it is already broken down like that now with NCAA 1A and NCAA 1AA so if they would have to break down the conferences like WAC vs MAC for example but this practice will keep the big schools big and the smaller schools small and the smaller schools have a lot of talent that does not get really seen.

You do make some very valid points. My daughter went to a smaller school in southern Louisiana. They were picked to play Nebraska for their homecoming because they couldn't win right? Well they actually led Nebraska for most of the game but they finally one in the end. They were never invited back! I guess no one wants to work for their homecoming game huh?

That is the Problem that needs to be fixed in the NCAA they pick and choose who they play and its based on who is in their conference and who they think they can beat and they know. If a smaller school has a chance to beat them they will stay away from them. some schools do except the challenge but most don't. They don't want to drop in rankings.

More bowls does not make it better it helps but how will you say one team is better if another team has the same record and one their bowl game. A playoff system should be implemented.
