why they always give me different cars from car rental?

I am just curious, whenever I got online to book a reservation for a vehicle, like from Hertz websites, or Enterprise, When I got there to pick up the car, they usually give me something different. Not I mind to have a different car, I just don't get it. If that is the database it shows those cars available, why would they give me something different? Or did their database not updated on the websites, or when I called them to make the reservation, they said they have Nissan, when I arrived there, they gave me a Toyota. Why? I just don't get it. So, their information on certain car available is inaccurate. Do you encounter such case when you rent a car?
