Problem with myLot?

Is there a problem with the mylot servers recently? or is it just my browser? or my internet connection?
I am really not sure but since a few days ago, any page in mylot seem to have a hard time loading. I am currently using Google Chrome as my web browser and using a laptop to connect to the internet via wi-fi.
my other tabs in my browser are loading up quite fast, like Facebook or youtube. However, mylot seems to hang in my page and i need to refresh/reload it so i could load the page.
Now, i really don't have a problem with this, but sometimes when i send my discussion/reply to a discussion, it will hang. Therefore, removing all the things i said in the box after it loads up.
Are you experiencing the same problem as me?
^^look here, good thing i copied my post and pasted it here. You see before, i cannot paste onto the discussions because i have to be on this certain level or something (i forgot).

This was happening occasionally inthe past but for the last few days I have found it particularly speedy. I use a desk-top + adsl at home and a netbook+wi-fi from owrk (like right now) and it is perfect.
I use Chrome too. Have you tried clearing your cookies?

I do not understand anything about computers, servers or the like. I just know what others have told me when I have had problems and that is what I try every time I have a problem.
If it was a server problem surely it would be every day and not only occasionally?

Did you know that with Chrome you can hit the back button and your response will still be there?

hi diana and aylim I was told that here in ca sometimes mylot gets backed up so much people start getting the message reset but I have hit try again and so far I have always saved my resonse. also I have got to wear I just automatically save my responses to the clipboard htn if my response goes sailing off into the ionospheare I just hit paste and there is my response so hit post at once and it goes through.

Hello Aylim, i had same problems but a week ago. For few days mylot was slow and when i could open something, soon after opening the page, it was changing by itself telling me that it can't load it. I don't know what was wrong, but it change now and everything is working perfectly.
I'm still thinking if it was the new laptop we bought soon, because it had no battery and when i moved too much, the charger was going out, so the laptop turned off by itself. May be that's the reason. Why don't you try to use some other browser and may be you won't have problems with it?

I was using Safari browser for so long and i didn't have problems at all with it. It was because i used the laptop of a friend, so i needed private browsing. Safari is a great explorer too, now i use Mozilla again, it's works good.
With the Safari everything was perfect to one day, when it crashed and i couldn't make it work again.

Even I had the same problem some tome back. Usually I use opera and Mozila ans sometime Crom too.
While I tried with Opera the response would past up so slowly that you are on the brink of losing your patience.

Yes, reloading the page has become a common feature now at mylot.

I encountered same problems with the site recently. I believe the site really had a problem in a short time. Just be careful posting your response without copying what you have written on the box, always expect that there might be a problem loading the page at any time. I also encountered a problem with my earnings posted on the top view of the page, because i have posted so many comments and discussions yet nothing has credited on it for two days when the maximum update of earnings should only be in 24 hours. But the site worked well again few hours ago. I think they we're just having a short maintenance for the site in a while.

i think it takes at most of 4 hours for the update and not 24 hours. :) And yea, there was that huge discussion about that updating of earnings because i think it was the first time that happened (i think) where mylot was not able to update the earnings for 24 hours.

hello aylim,
I also encountered that problem of yours i think it in mylot becoz if i use my laptop i need to post so fast becoz after a minute the page need to be refresh something like that.
About copy paste you need to reach the 500 posts before you can do this.

hmm..i wonder. Before i stopped mylotting, which was a few months back. I haven't encountered this once. Except only now. Maybe they should upgrade their servers or something.
About the copy paste thing, i don't think it's 500 posts because i can already do that and my posts are only, as of this moment 200+. Maybe a certain level or rating, i don't know.

I faced 2 time the similar situation and after that I leave the site for a while and when I came back I found everything fine and smooth once again.

it usually just slows down the loading of the page. And i just find it not too convenient. Especially if it concerns all of us. I mean, we are all experiencing it and not just random users. SO i guess it's either we all have crappy internet connection, or its on mylot's court. But again, i am not complaining, it's just a suggestion or probably investigate why we are having these problems.

I do experience that at times too, perhaps it's because of the server at Mylot's side which is undergoing some changes or a technical glitch. As for copying and pasting, you have to reach 500 posts and above in order to do that.

Yes, yesterday I had a difficult time
sending my responses and starting a discussion.
Or it might be the internet connection.
I also had been wondering yesterday.

I used to have big problem with my internet connection so loading mylot is harder and often I have to resend my post that made it double posted. Even though I use computer with Intel core2 duo inside and 2GB of RAM and ADSL connection, loading mylot in poor connection made me sucks. Recently, my internet connection is better and have no problem with mylot. However, when in peak time, mylot page is harder to loaded. Too many people accessing mylot at the same time will make it harder to load.

yes, so if that's the case, then mylot already achieved one of its goals, which is to increase the activity that the site creates. So hopefully in the near future, they would upgrade their servers or at least their bandwidth so that users can still access at the same time without experiencing any problems.

hello aylim! yes,that also happened to me these days,it's hard for me to load mylot page. i guess there's something wrong with the servers. i am not quite sure about it. but i have read most of us here do have same experiences nowadays.
it's time consuming just to wait for the page to download. well,about the copy paste thing, i still can remember that you can have the ability for that when you reached 500 rank. but you said you have 200 plus,so it might have been because there has changes in terms of usage or regulations in here. or you just thought you have pasted it instead of reloading the page but what you typed is still there.

I have noticed that on numerous occassions, in which pages throughout the mylot web site takes a few seconds to load, it doesn't occur all the time, but it has happened a bit more frequent.
I honestly haven't heard of any problems that they might be experiencing. Luckily I haven't had any problems with posting my discussions and comments, but it has happened in the past and I do exactly the same thing, copy what I have written just incase an error occurs, that way I don't lose whatever I wrote.

Yes, but before that copy-paste method does not work because mylot wants to prevent spamming on their discussions so you would either have lots of posts or reach a certain level to achieve that copy paste thing. But recently when i came back to mylot again, i found out that i can already do it. I still don't know why.

O lord!!! I was facing the same issue yesterday. It was taking hell lot of time to load a page. And most of all whenever I used to post something page was not at all refreshing and once again I had to write the whole thing. And the funny thing is..I am not able to copy paste till now as I have joined just last week. So all the posts I was writing 2-3 times. But now...it good that the problem is not happening in my system.. So best of luck!! I hope it doesn't make you irritating anymore...

i can definitely feel your pain. that was my problem when my internet connection was having problems. It was being unstable so before i post my responses then, i make sure to monitor my download and upload speeds. Just continue posting regularly and in good quality..soon you will be able to copy and paste your post in case such connectivity problems occur. Just make sure not to spam ok?
