Good luck with Triond! I will look you up there, are you aprilsong there as well? Triond is a lot of fun, with some really great writers. I tend to get lost in reading others articles. A couple tips I learned from other Trionders, include links to your other work at the bottom of your articles. (More from this author, and then links to your other triond work). Also, if you like someone else's work, try to leave a thoughtful comment. While I am just as happy with a "nice post" or "great share", many consider this spam or offensive. Last but not least, if you like someone's work, stumble it! Like any job, what you put out there is what you get back. When I see articles I like, bare minimum I facebook them, tweet them or stumble them to help get more views. Every little bit helps. Don't be discouraged if you don't make a fortune right away. I don't make tons, but I do a lot of contract work on sights like elance and getafreelancer, so I use triond as a portfolio to provide writing samples to prospective clients. Having said that, I have gone an entire month with no new submissions and still generated a couple bucks in income, so that's nice. Again, I will look for you on triond. You earn indirectly if you read and comment on others work, because they will msot likely come to your article and read and comment on it(giving you a bonus view; this is a good strategy to get started). You can write any thing you can think of, even fiction. Usually you need to write at least 100 words to get published, unless you are writing a poem. No requests for articles, you write what you feel like, whenever. I love that sort of freedom... I've written 310 articles(mainly short recipes), and now rake in at least 50 dollars a month, passively... :D
