My blackberry is so durable that it got immersed in water. It got so wet that I thought it will never work anymore after being drenched. I took the batteries off and the insides are so dripping wet. The screen got moistened and I thought the LCD will get damaged such as lines in the screen. I blow dried the phone. After 3-4 days.. the screen dried off and I am using it again like it never got wet! The lines on the LCD dissapeared!! It functions perfectly just like when I bought it! How durable is your phone?

Well, I have a Samsung D600 phone - not a very new phone as I've had it for quite a good few years. However, I find that is it very reliable and robust, although I am very careful never to drop it! My last phone I dropped in a cup of boiling cofee. It wouldn't work at all, but I dried it with a hair dryer and it sprung back to life... But it kept switching itself off for no reason after that.. Well what could I expect! _Derek

My cellphone is somewhat durable. I carelessly dropped it a few times, yet it still worked. The drops are sometimes bad that the battery of my cellphone went off. But after putting back the battery, the cellphone still works. It does not have any lines or any malfunctions. It functions normally the same the first time I bought it.

That is good news to heard about your durable blackberry. I am looking at a near future purchase of a new cellphone, so I will now, partially because of your article, consider buying a blackberry. I don't think my present cellphone could withstand the same that happened to your phone. However, some of the phone nowaday are pretty durable; my friend's phone was dropped in water and was usable again after spending a few days in a bowl of dry rice, which pulled all the moisture out. Very good information.

I'm not sure yet. I am using a Nokia N85 phone and I never had any experience like yours yet hopefully not. It fell on the floor a couple of times but it is still working. I'm not sure what will happen if it gets wet. I'll find out when it happens. LOL
