Disaster is one thing, but the union thugs need to be charged for their crimes

"Selfish Sanitation Department bosses from the snow-slammed outer boroughs ordered their drivers to snarl the blizzard cleanup to protest budget cuts -- a disastrous move that turned streets into a minefield for emergency-services vehicles, The Post has learned."
I wrote earlier about the disaster status of the snow problems in New York. However, it turns out that a lot of this disaster could and been avoided, but the union thugs wanted to make a statement.
There is no excuse for this kind of criminal negligence. Their "statement" cost lives, and they should be held liable for it.

The media reporters are usually first to report and later to investigate. I understand that the mayor is going to start an investigation. So, I think I'll wait to see how much of this is true before I go off half-cocked and make a lot of uninformed remarks. IF it is true, it needs to be dealt with harshly. Apparently the budget cuts are necessary. I also saw another story (Nightline) that indicates that ALL of the states are in for a rough go this new year. They are going into money problems that may require more and more bailouts. Are we ready for this?

There are always two sides to those stories.
Unions always go on strike at a time when they are most needed in order to make a statement. If they did strike in normal times, everybody would just laugh at them and ignore them.
The government did create the situation, so if you want to blame someone, blame the government.
The government is never short of a few millions to do what it wants to do, but when it comes to essential services, it is always crying poor.

The government didn't create the snow storm or the disaster, but these union pieces of trash did create a worse problem, one that cost lives. But of course, you wanted them to die for your 3.5 Billion Final Solution, so I guess it's a good thing in your book.

But all that being said, the investigation should include everyone, government as well as union.

I agree they should be held liable. Lives were lost so they could demand more benefits. This is just further proof of the union corruption.
