Lights go on first after the tree is up and straight. hehe

We always put the lights on last. Never heard of putting the lights on first before. Might try that next year!

i always put the lights on first. think you get a nicer looking decorated tree if you do that. the tree tends to look more chaotic now that my 5 year old helps. can't wait to do it this year. christmas just gets better, the older the children get. love it!

My son is 3 now and daughter 2 so I am sure they will be in there helping... Last year my daughter kept taking all the decorations off.....

he how cute.. I put two sets of lights this year and my children help decorate and my daughter keeps pulling them of and rearranging them so the poor tree changes everyday...
I love seeing the tree lite up I can sit and just admire... It's a lovely cozy feeling...

I like to put the lights up first, then the garland and ornaments afterwards. I'm afraid if i put the lights on last, i'll knock something off the tree and break it! LOL!

I put them on first but I remember I forgot to and the tree had to have lights so I put them on last and I was all tangled with it and the ornaments kept falling. ah it was a disaster...

Oh that's what I did one year and that's why I put them on last but I got in a tangle..
If your happy with you tree how it is than that is all good.... :)

I usually put the lights on first then arrange the decorations around the lights. I find that if I put the lights on last, everything falls off as i'm trying to wrap them around the tree!!! LOL
