when do you put your christmas decorations up?

Since having children to help with the decorations, we always put them up on 1st December. The excitement starts so early and gives us plenty of time to enjoy the festive season. Also keep all of the christmas dvd's and cd's in the box with the decorations so like to get those out early december for daughter to watch.
