New year is here now and I do believe there are a lot of us making their own resolutions. I am sure there is a long list of yours too. Do you include quitting smoking as one of these? If so, how could you do it?

I quit smoking when I was 7 years old. It was bad. I just didn't do it again.

You are kidding me' LOL You mean to say you were smoking earlier than 7 years old. It is really not good to smoke especially that early. hahaha

Quitting smoking is no big deal; it is all in the mind. Once you manage to get the issue sidetracked from your conscience, you will be on the right track. Many continue to struggle with the problem all because they are obsessed with the question of kicking the habit.

Really ' ' ' To some it is really a big big deal. I remember a time when I tried to tell my friend to stop smoking because he is already getting sick. But he answered me back " you do not know the pleasure of smoking that is why it is easy for you to tell me to stop" Funny sometimes.

Not proud to say but I am a smoker and yes that is one of my resolutions. I hate chemicals (yes, that coming from a smoker) so I've always tried to quit on my own but I've never been able to do it. So this year I am trying Welbutrine. Wish me luck! :-)

I am not really a smoker. I just happened to be a daughter of a smoker. It is very hard to be one though. We wanted him to really stop doing it because of medical reasons ( he has blockage in the arteries of his heart) but he would insist that he could not stop. It is very hard for him. Actually, he slowed down smoking after he had a minor stroke but he came back doing this things. I hope he tone down again this 2011. I really do.

Smoking is one thing i really do hate. I have never smoked but for those that do, they can't keep it to themselves as smoke travels. I do like a drink and i will be trying to cut down on that this year. Atleast with drink it doesn't affect anytone else like smoke does as if you are near someone smoking then you can inhale there smoke and it can get onto your clothes easily and it is just a horrid smell. I hope that many people who set out to quit do actually accomplish it.

Well, I don't smoke to begin with, so it's not part of my new year's resolution. :)

I not only made the resolution but also made it real. It's not that I went through a process. Nor did I treated myself over time. I have been waiting for my life to come in a good and positive stand. And when the opportune moment came I just stopped smoking. How did I identified the best time for it? Well, I choose the time when my life was in an all time high. My family has been supportive, I was having positive turn in my life and my mind was full of optimism. I didn't took much time to strike the iron when it's hot. I just decided that I will not smoke from the next day, and I did exactly the same. What's surprising is that I quit even before the new year's eve. Now that I have become a non-smoker, I think I will pay attention to other positive things in my life.
