Scientists at University of Glasgow have made a 1000 core processor.I wonder it's a Big jump from dual core, core 2 duo, quad core,i7 to 1000 core. How do you feel? Yes they have done it. It is a FPGA processor and it acheives a 20 times speed gain over normal conventional processors like core 2 duo's. Intel had been workink on a 48 core Single-chip Cloud Computer. So if you know about Moore's Law doubling game that won't surprise you. So what do you think guys and gals. It's about a few years till we have this 1000 core processor with us helping in mylotting. Do a google search for this wonderful news if you wanna know more. Bye.Let me know your thoughts.Happy Mylotting and Happy New year.

so much core in one cpu is really nice and fast surely i think a 4 core processor is good too...also because we should consider the price if processors like that should be lauched n the normal market anyway i think that cpu technologies will be improved year by year...

A good start for making new improvement but does it really help hahah I don't think so

That's an awesome technology which surpasses the present Quad Core i7 , it's much much fastest than any CPU around but the initial price gonna be skyrocket high that we cannot afford to buy right away, can be use in any program that needs a good speed and maybe higher Ram to support that CPU ha!

Hi ritwick, Re: 1K core processor. That may be the latest in computer technology but I am not keen to have it for now. For one, it may take another era to reach my place, and if it ever reach here before my time runs out, it would cost me fortune to buy it. We have core 2-dual processors and X2 450 still on the shelves. They cost a lot, I tell you. For the moment, I shall have to make it up with my 2.4GHz Intel processor with 512 of RAM. I know it's not much, but it serves my needs with basic works such as word processing (mainly), surfing and playing games from another era. It may take another ten years for that hi-tech to reach this part of the world. I shall have to let it go for the meantime. Thanks for your updates anyway.
