I haven't practiced jiu jitsu for a few reasons, but I did try my hands on wing chun, I somehow felt that its kind of hard to apply jiu jitsu in real life situations, unless its a sparring match, before I even started learning any form of arts I was mostly self thought when it comes to fighting or fending off, I've manage to get by against jiu jitsu users, the art somehow lacks the variety needed when it comes to fighting, unless you mix it up with other arts. Mixing jiu jitsu with other forms that don't rely too much on close combat like kick boxing/muay thai or jeet kun do could help open up various doors

Kick boxing, Muay Thai, is only good for Sports Competition only.... while... BJJ, MMA, Jiu Jitsu is best only for one-on-one opponent but useless on Multiple Opponent situations..... while... Wing Chun is useless in Sports Competition while good in life threatening situations....

I started doing BJJ maybe 6 years ago, but got kinda bored with it and started doing more catch as catch can which is basically submission wrestling. Being as that I was originally a wrestler it was a much easier transition. I still do a lot of no gi BJJ though.

all grappling arts including BJJ are good only on one on one opponent.... meaning.... Grappling Arts, Wrestling, MMA, BJJ is useless if you encounter a multiple opponent...

Hello there! I practice Arnis which is a Filipino Martial Art. You might think that it is just stick fighting but it also involves takedowns, locks and submissions, and throws based on the principles of the weapon. You would want to control the weapon so you can control the whole body. And the goal is not really to submit but to maim or finish. I also did some judo and it is really good. It involves a lot of throwing and groundfighting.

but the art of Arnis is no match if you encounter an opponent who uses weapons such as "Bladed"????? for example: 1. Japanese Samurai Katana Sword 2. Chinese Jian Straight Sword 3. Chinese Dao Broad Sword

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a grappling art, specializing in Ground Control and Submissions, like chokes and leg and arm locks. It was developed by the Gracies in Brazil therefore Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Adapted from Japanese Jiu Jitsu and Judo, for a smaller person. The greatest example one can show is in Mixed Martial Arts, the dominating ground art is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

I have practiced some BJJ before, but I currently practice Japanese Jujutsu and Iaido. BJJ was very fun and technical but I love JJJ so this is where I ended up.
