Do you think the writing style of the Economist (one unified voice) helps or hurts its credibility? Since all writers write anonymously, the writers often refer to themselves as "this magazine" or "Lexington" (A column). What is your opinion on this type of journalistic writing? Do you prefer this or a more traditional style with a by-line?

I enjoy the magazine and has a wealth of information but like many others they are pushing their own agenda with certain political issues. They need to stick to economics and not politics and it will help boost their image again. The style is fine but agreed, if they had authors name appear it would lend more credibility to everything stated.
