i love reading but do find i can spend a small fortune on books that end up in the box under the bed or in the loft i know i have at least 700 books of my own its becoming out of control,i found that alot of local libraries anh hospitals do a bookswap or you can donate i have found this a great way to de clutter and get some grest new reads that others have brought say last week and read already so its like new and a swap from others donations is a fab way of saving cash too anyone else do anything similar?

My Mom uses paperback swap a lot and has received a lot of nice books over the last four years. It's fun to watch her get all excited when she gets a new book in the mail. I like seeing her happy like that, it's the one thing that can bring a smile to her face. I like going to thrift shops and finding my books there.

We have a book nook in our break room at my work. It is a place where you take a book leave a book. It was started several years ago and the selection is constantly changing. I have found some great authors, and it has kept me from spending a fortune on new books. I have used my amazon money for other things, like birthday gifts.
There are some books that i still buy. Authors that I love and will want to read the book over and over again would be one example.

I do not but do know a couple people who do. I am responding to assure your discussion does not get drawn down below as I find this to be very useful to others especially college students.
So thanks for the information and hope many can learn, and benefit from it as well. Thanks
