should ms dhoni promote himself in batting order?

we have seen in the current test series that ms has batted well in every inning he played but he always was out of partners at the other end.so i personally think he should come up in the batting order at no.6 ahead of the pujara so that it would give him enough time to play a long inning.what are your point of views?

This thought did cross my mind when Raina was in the playing 11. However with pujara in the team now, Dhoni can save himself the trouble.
Also he can be more dangerous when in comes in late in the day when the bowlers are tired. Pujara's technique is solid & well suited for test cricket. \
Also i feel that with dhoni's experience he will be able to play with the tail better.

i understood your point of view but in recent past whatever i have seen of msdhoni that he hasnot been able to do much with the tail the way laxman or sachin does.so i feel it would be better if he comes ahead of pujara in this crucial game and may be team management may think on this in long term scenario.regards.keep mylotting

I do not see him getting promoted in this batting line up. I think Pujara has to be groomed for a longer role later on. So he has to play at his current position so that he can spend some time in the middle with the likes of Sachin and Laxman before he can take the role of shepherding the tail. That requires a more experienced head and that is why Dhoni is required at that position.

i agree to you but i m not saying that ms should bat up in the longer run but considering the current scenario, i think he should come up in the order as he is looking in good nick.

In my opinion also he should be batted at number 4 or five.He must promote himself in the batting order.Thus he will get to be there in the middle for some more time.This will definitely have its impact on the Inidan score.Now the present scenario is that he is now at number 6 and when he is out there most of the batsmen have got out and he has to play with the tail enders and will be out with only some cheap scores.Therefore he should promote himself in the batting order.
