Hi there could anyone point me in the direction of starting my own internet based business or even where i could earn money working from home in the uk? I have worked all my life but since ive had to take custody of my sister along with with my 5 year old son i haven't been able to to travel the country like i used too! I'm desperate to get back into work but cant seem to find a job that is very close to where i live or that has the correct hours to suit my family needs! If i could work from home i could work all day and night excluding 2 hours of the day where i would be picking children up. Any information would be a huge help thanks!!

I recently found an article or website called incomeboosters or income boosters which lists hundreds upon hundreds of opportunities that you can take advantage of. I have found a handful of legitimate opportunities there and I am not finished looking over the list. I hope that helps for starters. I wish you much success in 2011. Happy New Year!

Try odesk. They are offering many online jobs. Depending on your skills, you might get hired quickly. It is totally free.

You should first think about your skills and what you like to do. Write down ALL your skills - the things that you are good at. This is not always easy because there are many things which we commonly do and many things we like to do which we don't consider 'skills'. If you find yourself stuck, there are some simple online tests which might get you going: http://www.bestuniversiti... they are fun to do and most of them tell you SOMETHING about yourself. They might serve to 'get you going' and to help to get you to think laterally. Not everyone is suited to running their own business or being self employed though it is something that can be learned. Perhaps you have already had some experience, though, and know what it's like to have to be self-motivated. Starting an online business is not very much different from starting any other small business. The overheads are generally very much less, of course, since you don't have to rent or buy premises and you may not need to invest in stock but the principles are much the same. It is important to choose something which you are going to enjoy doing, however, and you will still need the mindset to see it as a real business which requires focus and hard work. Very often you can acquire the necessary skills as you go along and, because your initial investment is likely to be less than a bricks-and-mortar business, you should be able to 'train as you go' more easily. Good luck in whatever you choose!

I would suggest you not to invest anything in the beginning. Just be present in the site like mylot, and observe.. Here you can get an idea about the fact that most of the money making opportunities are scams, and in a long run, this will help you in making your judgments more accurate. For business, it takes a lot of effort, and a little investment as well. It would be better, if you can first learn the online environment, else just rushing up things will end you with empty pockets; money and time wasted ... If you specialize in some specific area, preferably related to web - programming, web design etc, then you can get a lot of freelance kinda work at sites like getafreelancer.com All the best !
