folder security permissions help please.URGENT / myLot

hi. I recently denied any control for a folder in my d drive by going through its security option by right clicking it.Now I want to grant it access.But it says access is denied and I tried gaining the ownership and marking full cntrol option for my account.But still It says access is denied.I have only one account.but its not displaying I am the admin.Please help me to gain control to my files in that folder.

if you are using xp.. log off... on welcome screen press ctrl + alt + del button.. you will find login box.. enter username as Administrator and enter it's password.. and other way to access it via dos.. copy those data into another and delete this one..

I think this is the most effective and less time consuming way to get denied access back which lovedude is mentioning. Otherwise only administrator can give rights and can deny so login with administrator ID and give authorization with limited or full access.

I am using windows 7.It's so complicated.In my account,it says I am the administrator,yet when I try to open those files,it says Administrator rights not provided.Even though I changed the permission status to full control again,I am still getting the same message.Can you advise me how to login as administrator in windows 7 and also tell me how to access those files using dos so that I can change its permission or copy those things to a permitted folder.
