I guess you could see a popular product in ebay and make money. Something like a Wii products, game CDS or mobiles maybe. Ya but there is a risk of no one bidding for your product or bidding less than your expectations.

You certainly can make money from eBay but not, as the article suggests, "a huge profit" (unless you happen to be very lucky). Whatever you intend to sell, research packing and shipping costs before you start. Then research the price you expect by looking at similar auctions and at other places on the Internet. You can start the bidding at whatever price you choose but you want people to think that they have (or are likely to have) a bargain, so start the auction at, at the MOST, only half of what you expect to get. The best auctions are those which attract a good number of bidders - certainly 3 or more is desirable. If you intend to make a business out of it (rather than just selling the odd thing that you don't want) you must keep good records of how much you paid for the goods, how much the actual packing and shipping costs were, when you put them on eBay and how much they sold for. Not only will this tell you how your business is doing but, when you begin to make a reasonable amount of money, you will be ready to deal with the tax authorities.

It is true that one can make money from ebay. I haven't really "delved" into ebay, though I am registered on their site. I think one could easily sell items on ebay as a method of working from home.

Is there an eBay India? Even if there is, India is a huge country and shipping costs will kill your best efforts. I wouldn't think about it unless you live in the USA or UK.
