Well that is exactly what they are doing.

Why would the TSA make photocopies of someone's credit cards? That is just asking for idenity theft to accure. What do copies of your credit cards have to do with "security"? Can anyone exsplain this one to me?
I will continue to look for information on this...but if anyone knows the reason for it please let me know. You already have to show ID to get on a plane. So why make copies of someone's credit cards? The more I hear of TSA and their practices the more I am determined NEVER to fly again til they change their practices.

I'm a strong supporter of National Security, but Homeland Security/TSA are out of control. I'd have a Congressional complaint filed in minutes of landing. If I were an airline owner, I'd be all over my Congressmen/women and Senators...TSA is destroying my business. Just think how many people may not be flying because of TSA? I know I don't want to fly partly because of TSA...the other part is the cost of flying now days...

TSA is killing their business. Between getting felt up, radiated, and now your credit cards photocopied...why WOULD people want to fly? It is a complete invasion of your person and privacy. TSA is going tooo far. I know I won't fly because of the TSA. I know others that won't either. I don't know why the airline companies are not complaining. It is causing them to loose money.
Someone needs to reign them in FAST.

If the airlines and the public really start throwing a fit over this kind of treatment than they would get their leash jerked real quick.

That is just one of many Utube recorded incidents. Homeland Security has its hand in every aspect of your life...It now has the ability to control everything you eat as well. Now that congress passed the s510 bill before the new Senate was seated we are all screwed. The price of food is going to skyrocket and as Monsanto continues to experiment with hybrids we will continue to lose varieties of vegetables until our food supply will dwindle.
All hail the mighty Obama and his minions.

Unfortunately too many people have to fly...so they will keep on flying. The word does not seem to be getting out either. Yes, it is on Utube, but a lot of folks think that the stuff on Utube is faked, and some of it is. However, there is a very long Utube video of news exerpts that is just amazing on this subject...I have passed this on to everyone I know. But as I said, a lot of them have to fly, for business etc. What do you do. I had to go to Chicago for a Conference...I was with a 70 lady. We flew up with no problem. We went to board the flight home and they realized that her drivers license was expired(2days). They would not let her board...I vouched for her, she had her ticket from the flight to chicago etc. We called the CEO everything. Finally they strip searched her and let her on the flight. Bizarre...She handled it well..she just said that she hoped they enjoyed the peep show. There were both men and women in the room when she was stripped. I almost got arrested. Then we almost got in trouble because I had to give her a shot of insulin...They went nuts when we pulled out the meds...

This is getting so stupid and ticking so many people off that before the airlines are going to have major issues because people in masses will stop flying. What will they do then? Flying is just not worth it anymore. Between the prices and the harrassement it is just NOT WORTH IT.
HLS is a big old pain the butt in my opinion. and that is putting it nicely.

The answer is, it has NOTHING to do with security, just as there is no legitimate reason why the TSA should take the hard drive from your laptop either. They are using both to do checks on air passengers, but nothing learned from those checks would make the other passengers any safer.
