Are your politicians being charged too?

It's a pity for a certain to country when its leaders are the ones being charged with gruesome crimes of criminal intent, tax evasion, rebellion, drug use and trafficking, etc. These leaders were either elected or assigned to hold their positions in order to uphold the country's constitution and guide the people to betterment. In our country (The Philippines) it's sad how our former president was accused with massive graft and corruption, how certain provincial governors are operating illegal gambling, how senators are involved in murders, and how other leaders are pleading guilty to drug charges abroad. Yes, it's a pity. It's sad how they are the ones committing the crime instead of running after it. That's why progress is slow. I guess there really isn't an ideal world to live in.
