Remember the old saying ..you have to be young and stupid before you can be old and wise? Here's the question I've been young and stupid and i've got the old part down pat so when does the wise part kick in?

Y'know, I'm beginning to suspect this saying is junk. I've been waiting for a while now, and nothing happens - nothing good, at least, because I'm getting older for sure. But not wiser - slower, more boring, self-conceited, impatient - I notice a lot of these traits changing, but I'm clearly not wiser. Even worse, I forget stuff and I don't learn anything new anymore, so I suspect I'm actually getting more stupid. Oh, well, just my experience, maybe not everybody is the same. Or maybe I should wait more, maybe it applies only after all my teeth fall out.

I don't think we're getting more stupid, we just feel that way because we can't remember the smart things we've done or said.LOL

Hm, you're on to something. Maybe I should start a diary: "The smart things I've said". Then I will forget all the dumb things I said, so, in retrospective, I'll consider myself smarter
