vat gone up

I am sure the english government thought that by putting up the price of the vat it would only hit our pockets money wise but I have just discovered another way it has hit people.
Yes on the internet as the net is very very slow today. I am sure it is because everyone has to go to their sites and alter all the prices on it to cover the price of the vat.

There is talk of a VAT here, something we don't now have. I would agree with it if they dropped our income taxes but they intend to levy it in addition to income tax. They are taxing us into poverty here and increasing our national debt to crippling levels.
I'm sure if we did have a VAT it would increase regularly!
How do you and your fellow countrymen feel about the increase? Is there any indication that the people are getting tired of high taxes and what action do you think they may take? Any protests there yet?

Maybe you need a better Internet connection - I've seen no slowing of my connection.
