Funny News Story

We are always hearing these bad/sad news story, I think it's time to tell of a more light heartated tale!
A man was caught speeding by the much hated sped cameras. One day he found a photo of his car speeding by the camera, along with a bill for 45 dollars. Instead of sending in the fine, the man mailed the police a photo of 2 twenties and a five.
A week later the man got another envelope from the police station. When he opened it up, he found a photo of handcuffs!
Haha! Obviously the cops were playing along with this guys game, showing a sense of humor that a lot of people don't think cops possess!

OMG I LOVED THAT! What a great sense of humor for both parties. That is just so funny and I will be definitely sharing it with my family and friends. I wonder if he is going to pay the fine or not. I have to say though that is a cheap fine for speeding. I wonder where this happened. Thanks for sharing this funny story and putting a smile on my face. 1 person likes this

yeah I wonder if he had to pay the fine too! I believe it happened in San Fransisco--he may not have been going that fast and that's why the fine was lower.

ahaha! I like the plane ticket photo! That would be funny! With that the cops could go either way...they could either lose their patience, or they could ifnd it really funny too and try to continue it...maybe with a photo of a SWAT team or something lol.
(Of course, included in the plane ticket photo, the high price of the ticket should be highligthed in some way) lol.

This is definitely a funny story...it also goes to show that the police a people too that have sene of humours!! I would hate to have seen or heard what may have happened if a cranky person opened the envelope

Yeah! I'm sick of all the people that actually put cops out of the 'human' label because of their jobs. It really bothers me. And I hear SO many people say 'all cops are cranky, they don't have a sense of humor.'
That's what I was thinking! I'm glad whoever opened the envelope was having a good day! lol

Oh no, it was a real news story. In another reponse above I provided a link that verified the story as being true. But I understand your thinking, too many internet stories out there being passed around as true.

I have heard this story before, but it is still great to hear again!
Reminds me of the story I once heard about someone who went through a speed camera on purpose after removing the number plates from their car...but they forgot about the For Sale sign that was on the back window!
