I was reading all over the news today that unemployment is down. I do not know about your area but that is not so in the area I live in. I think that most news outlets do not report the truth. People are at the point where they can no longer collect unemployment there are not jobs out there so they do not even get counted. I am sure there was hiring in Dec for the holiday season. And what about the people who takes a job making 35,000 a year less just to get a job and benefits. Now Obama is going to hold a new conference to brag about a job well done unemployment is down. I am so tired of this administration and all their untruth. American families are hurting. Every thing is up but paychecks. What does this administration do to help secure jobs for the American people. I am so tired of seeing the average working person become poor what about you

Sometimes they can be exaggerated when it comes to these. Yeah the unemployment goes down a few knots but they're gonna say "unemployment goes down" which actually means a lot different from the mass' perspective.

its not necessarily that employment is down but more people have either run out of their employment or not collecting it for whatever reason, thus, they think its gone down.

that is what I am saying. People can not collect of people have taken a lower paying job. The numbers are not correct and besides what about all the holiday help that will lose their jobs very shortly. The government is a joke

I've been searching for a job for over a year now. Part of that is my fault because I don't try hard enough, but then again also part of it is the fault of the adminstration. It's even getting hard for people to find jobs in retail, and that is saying a lot. Those who do have jobs are thankful and are keeping them no matter how hard it is on them, that brings even more stress. I wish I could find a job, I've been applying but also a lot is holding me back. We don't need excuses for this nation, we need results.

The Great OBAMA WHODINI. Or course unemployment is down, its the holidays and the stores hire oodles of extra people to work for a few months. You can bet your @$$ the next set of numbers that comes out will be very close , if not worse, than the numbers prior to yesterdays. Don't you get tired of the ling cheating immoral jerks that have been running our government. But hey that's what we get for no getting out and voting or voting for obama because you allowed Obama to lead you into and emotional hatred for George Bush. It Bit everyone in the back.

first of all our unemployment rate is more like 20% and not the 9.4% that is being reported. The government always tend to under report the number of unemployed. There are 35,000 people per week that have reached their 99 weeks. The big problem is nothing have improve in those 99 week and the job loss rate out weights the job creation. The system is very fractures and needs to be fixed. Congress and the senate are the ones who are failing us.

The media never has anything 100% true to deliver because I believe that there are people behind that control the articles they are to publish and present the people and probably because not all sources are 100% correct. I think it is the same in any nation in the globe.

Nope well not in my are where I live it's really competitive here and one has to try really hard to get a job and it's really hard to get a job if one does not have job experience, but I guess you have to lie that you have some experience, but I really do not like lying it isn't one of my strong points to do so. Who knows maybe I will volunteer somewhere so that I can get experience or something. I guess I will concentrate on college right now and on earning my degree so that I can get a good job and than I won't really have to worry besides I am good right now just mylotting my parents help me and also financial aid helps me with my college so I guess I am good for now. If only it was easy to get a job like applying and there your in if only that would be so cool.

What planet do the reporting's come from as it is not so, the way I see it is that they say unemployment is way lower now but it is because they are only counting the number of people who are actually receiving unemployment benefits. They are not counting the ones that no longer qualified and or never qualified, so the numbers naturally are lower so they say employment is higher now. What a bunch of bologna they try to feed.. LOL.
