Hi friends,
The cash rich INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE auction began today at Bangalore.At the 4th season two new teams are added.They are KOCHI and PUNE.KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS opened the auction at a price of 2.4 mil
lion by buying GAUTAM GAMBHIR who has been in a terrific form.KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS also bought the big hitting YUSUF PATHAN at a rate of 2.1 million.These two players have added a great strength for the KOLKATA batting order. They also purchased JACQUES KALLIS ,the SOUTH AFRICAN batsman who has been in great form for the past months.It seems now KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS would greatly dominate
the other teams in the INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE season-4.
So what's your opinion about KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS powerful batting strength in the season-4 of INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE.

Believe me when the first IPL auction finished they had an very dominant looking team. I think the key for Kolkotta is going to be how they can get the team to concentrate on the business of the game and not really worry about the entertainment aspect till they achieve something from the game. I would love to see how they shape up this season.

I was about to mention the same point which you mentioned ,good that i read this comment first.Bollywood and media hype should be away from cricket .There was way too much media hype,glamour and controversies related to KKR and clerly there was less focus on cricket.Kallis would be great for KKR and Whatmore as a coach .

They have a much better team than the previous year, but do not look that dominant.
The Mumbai Indians again look the most accompliched side with maximum match winners.
KKR did have a good team when IPL started . But then, Gayle was unfit most of the time, Mcullum just lost the plot entirely & Brad hodge did not do justise to his potential & Agarkar+Ishant were Average at best. The biggest blow to KKR was when pakisthani players were boycotted. The team has so many cricketers from Pakisthan that they just could not fill the void that was created.
This time they went with a clear strategy, did did not even bid for any of their previous players, except for Tiwary.
A contest where all teams are evenly matched would set the tone for a great tournament.

I don't agree with you ,my friend.KOLKATA team has got some of the best players who can play intelligently.During the last editions of INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE the KOLKATA team strugg
led to book their semifinal berth.They were unfortunate as they were just short of one point for a semifinal berth at the first edition.They need to win their match against DELHI which was abandoned due to rain.Yeah,the players did not do justice to their roles.Only GANGULY seemed consistent.In the next edition KOLKATA have great chances for booking a semifinal berth.

Hi,
Thee is nothing wrong with the Kolkata knight Riders making a gig entry before the actual game starts but what follows thereafter is a matter of concern. What happens actually is that no where they look like a united goal playing to win.

KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS are currently ignored by their home fans.KOLKATA team's main anchor is the "DADA", Sourav Ganguly.He has not been picked by the KOLKATA team.The fans became very furious when their home town hero was not picked by the KOLKATA team.Some fans were prote
sting against SHAH RUKH KHAN in some parts of KOLKATA for not picking GANGULY.KING KHAN explained that the decision was taken by the cricketing brains of his franchise and it was not his decision.He consoled his fans after the protests.

Kallis and Gambhir cab be very useful for any team as they are team players and they know how to bail out a team from danger.Also Bret Lee , if fit will be very useful for KKR.Actually most of the teams are looking good on paper but it will be interesting to see how they perform in matches.

Kolkata looks dominant no doubts about it..but Chennai is far much better on the paper (personal opinion), even Pune has done some smart bidding...just neeed to wait till the auction is over.

KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS have never qualified for the semifinals of the INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE.They failed to enter the semifinals during the last three editions.They were at their best during the first and third edition under DADA'S CAPTAINCY.Now in the fourth season they have added some of the best cricketers in their side.It is GAUTAM GAMBHIR,JACQUES KALLIS,YUSUF PATHAN and BRETT LEE.It looks like that KOLKATA is stronger than the all other nine teams.But the main drawback is they don't have DADA in their side which upsets the KOLKATA fans.

Of course Kolkata Knight Riders have bought some of the big hitters as well as big names in the t-20 cricket.Definitely Yusuf Pathan,Gautam Gambhir,JH Kallis will be a great asset for them in the IPL season 4.At the same time it will be interesting to see how the people of Kolkata is going to react against this; without their prince.Ya I am talking about Sourav Ganguly.How the Kolkatians can enjoy cricket without their "Dada".
