Today is sunday, so i took my hubby's laptop to enjoy mylot, the maid servant here, in my son's home, where i am now with my professor husband, came to me with a blister-packed capsule of some medicice and a razor blade, asked me how to get the capsule out using the blade.
I just smiled, and showed her how to push from the other side to bring it out, no need to cut the blister from top.
It seems she had never used such stuff before, if i laugh at her, she will feel offended, she is an aged woman, about 50
Well did you ever faced any thing similar?
Please tell me

Here it is considered a sign of being well balanced and easy to get along with if you can laugh at yourself. People like me because I don't think I'm perfect and I'm just as human as anyone else. This is why people love to have me teach them a difficult subject. Even my husband will turn to me for the proper use of English grammar, because I am reminded when I was learning it. This creates some funny stories at my expense because they are more likely to feel comfortable learning from someone who struggled through that learning process as well. I always will laugh at myself if it makes those around me more comfortable and enjoy being around me! Have a great day.:D

hi kal,
there are just still so many who come from the uplands (natives from the mountains) who have not seen a capsule in its pack, sad to say. still many cannot read and write. i for one never laugh at these people. my mom taught me to respect them and educate them on things if they do not know it. that way they will feel their value as a person.
one fellow is a contractual employee in our office. he is "no read no write". he cant even sign his name. he does not even know where to get papers such as birth certificate and marriage contract yet he is too willing to have a job. he is now one of our very industrious cleaning maintenance.
if only people will know how to respect them, i guess many will try their best to learn a craft that could be useful to them. then they too can teach it to their fellow illiterate there in their homelands.
have a nice day.

Dear Anny
You did the right thing, at times persons who can't read or write behave much better than highly educated persons.
Thanks for response.

thank you kal for the choice for BR.
i am glad to relay to you, the contractual worker i was telling you about can sign his name now. although it is just one word than he can write, i commended him saying "you are doing very well. keep it up". i think it is one of his sons (7 years old Ronnie) who teached him how to write.
aint that progress? yes indeed!!!

hi Kalyni lovely name . Yes I have had blister packs that were really so hard to open of course I am older, 84, but I just keep working till I peeled the silver paper off then could push the anti histamine pill out from its seat. oh my I would never take a razor blade to open anyting as the darned things are so treacherous. I was trying to shave a callus off my foot when I was younger with a razor blade and my hand twisted and I cut my foot. oh that hurt and I did feel like a fool as my doctor
had told me go to your podiatrist with calluses do not use a razor blade as you will likely cut where you should not. He had to put some stitches in my foot on the sole and that was very painful.ouch. a nice discussion as I bet just about everyone here has had a similar
problem with blister pack capsules.
